AQUEOUS AND SOLID AMMONIUM SULFATE FERTILIZERS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING
Aqueous and solid ammonium sulfate fertilizers derived from an organic feedstock and a mineral sulfate compound. The aqueous fertilizers have at least 3.5% nitrogen and at least 4% sulfur, and the solid fertilizers have about 21% nitrogen and about 24% sulfur. Methods for producing the fertilizers include preparing an organic feedstock by causing organic waste to undergo anaerobic digestion, removing solids from the organic feedstock to produce an organic liquid effluent, performing a distillation process on the organic liquid effluent to strip and concentrate a vapor that contains ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water and cool the vapor to produce a condensed solution containing ammonium bicarbonate and/or ammonium carbonate, and contacting the condensed solution with the mineral sulfate compound to cause a reaction therebetween and produce an aqueous ammonium sulfate product. An evaporation process can be performed on the aqueous ammonium sulfate product to produce a dry, solid ammonium sulfate product.
Sustainable processes for treating wastewater
The present invention relates to a new and novel process that combines treatment methods that use magnetite, Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC), Hydrodynamic Cavitation (HDC), probiotics, and adsorption using Magnetic Hydrochar (MHC) and Water Treatment Residuals (WTR) to replace Activated Sludge Technology (AST) for the treatment of wastewater containing dissolved organic and inorganic contaminants.
Liquid treatment device
A liquid treatment device comprising: two antennae; an enclosure for holding a liquid including a solvent and a solute; a generator operatively connected to the two antennae to generate an oscillating voltage in each antenna, wherein each voltage is out of phase with the other to create an oscillating electric-field; and the liquid in the enclosure being subjected to the electric-field in the presence of a magnetic field to change the chemical and/or physical properties of the solute, without the liquid contacting the two antennae.

WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEM AND WASTE TREATMENT METHOD
A waste treatment system 100 for performing a hydrothermal treatment of wastes includes a hydrothermal treatment device 10 for performing the hydrothermal treatment by bringing steam into contact with the wastes, a storage facility 8, 9 for storing a fuel produced from a reactant of the hydrothermal treatment, and a heat recovery steam generator 18 for generating the steam to be supplied to the hydrothermal treatment device 10. The heat recovery steam generator 18 is configured to generate the steam by using a combustion energy generated by combustion of the fuel stored in the storage facility 8, 9.
Process for Controlled Adsorption and Desorption of Phosphate From Liquids Using Phosphate-Selective Proteins
The present invention provides systems and methods for concentrating and recovering phosphate from samples. The method comprises using immobilized PBP for binding phosphate and a desorption solution having a pH of 11 or greater to recover phosphate from a sample when the phosphate is found at very low detection levels. Further systems and method for removing arsenate for water sources is also provided.

PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HUMIC SUBSTANCES FROM BIOMASS
A process for the chemical synthesis of humic substances from biomass, includes carrying out a Maillard reaction by heating a first biomass for 1 to 30 minutes to 150-250° C. The soluble impurities obtained are extracted from a second biomass by water. The remaining first solid is torrefied under a protective gas atmosphere at 180-300° C. for 0.2 to 4 hours. A torrefied second solid obtained is heated with a solution of a strong inorganic acid in excess to 120-180° C. for 0.5 to 3 hours. The first reaction mixture obtained is filtered and washed with water.
Method to Prepare a Soy Hydrolysate Product with a High Concentration of Free Amino Acids and Method of Using the Same
The present development is a method for producing a high concentration free amino acid soy hydrolysate composition and a method for using the resulting hydrolysate composition. The high concentration free amino acid soy hydrolysate is used to enhance the microbe population found in soil and wastewater. The enhanced microbe population can promote plant growth, particularly for use in brownfields and similar reclamation sites or on turf grasses, and can promote the digestion of sewage solids.
