CONE LOADING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A device for loading and forming smoking articles has a body section. A first socket is formed in a top area of the body section. A second socket is formed in a bottom area of the body section. A plurality of channels is formed in a bottom area of the first socket. The channels extend through the body section into the second socket. The channels are formed around a perimeter of the first socket and each configured to hold a smoking article. A tube is formed in a center area of the first socket. A plate has a plurality of openings. The plate is rotatable within the first socket to allow one to align a desired number of the plurality of openings with corresponding channels of the plurality of channels. A pin opening is formed in a center area of the plate. The pin opening is aligned with the tube when the plate is inserted into the first socket. A pin member is insertable into the pin opening and the tube. The pin member secures the plate in position. A cap is insertable into the first socket when loading the smoking articles and into the second socket to push the smoking articles out of the channels when loaded.
Rod article distribution apparatus
The present application relates to a rod article distribution apparatus (10) for distributing rod articles (50) between at least two storage columns. The apparatus (10) has a rod article infeed (20), a rod article distributor (30) having an epicyclic drum arrangement, and at least two rod article receiving channels (41). The rod article distributor (30) is configured to distribute rod articles (50) between the at least two rod article receiving channels (41). The present application also relates to a rod article making apparatus and a method of distributing rod articles between at least two storage columns.
COATING COMPOSITION FOR LOW IGNITION PROPENSITY CIGARETTE PAPER, TOBACCO USING SAME, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LOW IGNITION PROPENSITY CIGARETTE PAPER
A coating composition for low ignition propensity cigarette paper, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises 10-30 wt % of gum arabic, 25-35 wt % of maltose, 15-30 wt % of ethanol and 10-40 wt % of water.
Method and apparatus for intermediately storing double-length semi-finished products
The method for intermediately storing double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products comprises the step of providing a tipping apparatus and forming double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products in the tipping apparatus. The method further comprises the steps of providing a cutting device and cutting the double-length semi-finished product into single products with the cutting device and providing a packer and packing single products in the packer. The method yet further comprises the steps of transporting the double-length semi-finished products from the tipping apparatus to the cutting device and transporting the single products from the cutting device to the packer, and intermediately buffering double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products in a buffer arranged between the tipping apparatus and the cutting device.
SMOKING WRAP ADHESIVE
A composition for a smoking article adhesive may include, in one embodiment, the combination of pine rosin, acai gum, honey, maple syrup, an oil, and water. This composition may be applied to a smoking wrap in order to form a cigar or other smoking article containing an organic, palatable, and convenient wrap adhesive. Advantageously, such a system does not require licking the adhesive for efficacy.
Wrappers for smoking articles
Described are paper wrappers and smoking articles that can include the paper wrappers. The paper wrapper can include a weak organic acid or salt thereof. The addition of the weak organic acid or salt thereof to the paper wrapper can enhance the sensory characteristics of a smoking article that includes the paper wrapper. For instance, the addition of the weak organic acid can enhance the taste and/or smell of a smoking article that includes the paper wrapper.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED PRODUCTION OF CIGARETTES
An enclosed cannabis cigarette preparation system that includes an indexing module configured to accept a plurality of pre-rolled cones, each having a sealed end and an open end, and to move the pre-rolled cones through a plurality of stations. The system further includes a filling module configured to dispense, at a first station, a portion of cannabis shake material into the open end of each of the pre-rolled cones to form loosely filled cones; a tamping module configured to compress, at a second station, the cannabis shake material in each of the loosely filled cones to form tamped cones; a de-clogging module; and a pinching module configured to pinch-twist, at a third station, the open end of each of the pre-rolled cones to form rolled cigarettes.
Method for manufacturing multi-component aerosol forming articles
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing multi-component aerosol forming articles, each aerosol forming article defining a longitudinal axis and comprising N components serially juxtaposed along the longitudinal axis, where N is an integer2, the method comprising: providing transporting means for transporting components of aerosol forming articles in a transporting direction, said transporting means defining seats along said transporting direction; supplying seats of said transporting means with a first component for each aerosol forming article by positioning said first components one after the other along the transporting direction with their longitudinal axis parallel one to the others; checking each seat for the presence of said first component; adjoining a second component to the first component in a lengthwise axial manner in a given seat only if the first component is present in said given seat.
Thermally conducting rods for use in aerosol-generating articles
A rod is provided, formed from a first sheet including an aerosol-forming material and a second sheet including a thermally-conductive material, the first and second sheets being gathered together and circumscribed by a wrapper. The rod may be used as a component part of an aerosol-generating article.
DIAGNOSTIC METHOD FOR ANALYSING THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMATIC MACHINE WHICH PROCESSES PRODUCTS IN THE TOBACCO INDUSTRY
A diagnostic method for analysing the operation of an automatic machine which processes products in the tobacco industry includes the following steps: introducing into the machine an endoscopic probe whose shape and size correspond to the shape and size of the products the machine is designed to process and which the machine processes as if it were a real product. During processing in the machine, the probe acquires data through a sensor of its own. The method also includes determining the positions adopted by the probe while it is being processed in the machine and associating them with the data acquired by the probe while it is being processed in the machine.
