METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTERMEDIATELY STORING DOUBLE-LENGTH SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS
The method for intermediately storing double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products comprises the step of providing a tipping apparatus and forming double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products in the tipping apparatus. The method further comprises the steps of providing a cutting device and cutting the double-length semi-finished product into single products with the cutting device and providing a packer and packing single products in the packer. The method yet further comprises the steps of transporting the double-length semi-finished products from the tipping apparatus to the cutting device and transporting the single products from the cutting device to the packer, and intermediately buffering double-length substantially cylindrical semi-finished products in a buffer arranged between the tipping apparatus and the cutting device.
Sheet material cutting apparatus, and associated method
A cutting apparatus and an associated method for slitting a tobacco sheet material into cut pieces used to form smoking articles are provided. The cutting apparatus includes a rotatable cutter assembly having a drum member configured to rotate about an axis defined thereby. The cutter assembly includes a plurality of knife members disposed about the periphery of the drum member and extending radially therefrom. A fixed counter-knife assembly is disposed adjacent to the periphery of the drum member and is configured to interact with the rotatable cutter assembly during rotation thereof about the axis. The counter-knife assembly includes a ledger member having a plurality of cutting insert members removably engaged therewith. The cutting insert members are configured to interact with the knife members during rotation of the cutter assembly with respect to the counter-knife assembly so as to slit the tobacco sheet material received therebetween into cut pieces.

Cigarette Rolling Paper System and Method of Use
A smokable rolling paper system is described. The system comprises a filler material rolled in a smokable sheet. The smokable sheet includes a therapeutically effective dose of nicotine. The nicotine can be applied to the sheet as a coating. In some embodiments, the coating is an ink that is printed onto the sheet. In other embodiments, the nicotine is incorporated into the sheet when the sheet is manufactured. The smokable sheet allows for delivering of nicotine to a user by way of combustion and inhalation, irrespective of the contents of the filler material. The smokable sheet can be used to roll custom cigarettes that contain nicotine without consuming any harmful chemicals or additives found in commercially available cigarette products.
PREPARATION METHOD OF HEAT-NOT-BURN CIGARETTE PAPER WITH BORON NITRIDE AS THERMALLY-CONDUCTIVE FILLER
Clean version of the Abstract A preparation method of a heat-not-burn cigarette paper with boron nitride as a thermally-conductive filler incl tides: mixing po .ssiuxr oleate, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and water, thoroughly stirring under an ultrasonic condition, aging, and filtering until there is no precipitate; thoroughly mixing a resulting mixed solution with a softwood pulp and a hardwood. pulp to obtain a coarse pulp; and under stirring, adding boron nitride and calcium carbonate as a filler to the coarse pulp, heating to 60° C., and stirring for thorough mixing to obtain a pulp for sizing and papermaking. The present disclosure effectively improves the stability of a cigarette paper by improving a coefficient of thermal conductivity of the paper. Boron nitride, when used as a thermally-conductive filler in a thin-walled or paper product, enables high heat removal capacity. The preparation method retains the original whiteness and transparency of the cigarette paper, and provides high conductivity.
Apparatus and method for packaging cones
A system and method for adding smokable material into cone is provided. One embodiment receives input at a user input device from a user that specifies an amount of the smokable material that is to be dispensed by the auger load system into an empty cone; determines, at a cone filler control system, a determined duration based on the user specified amount of smokable material received in at user input device; communicates a control signal from the cone filler control system; and operates an auger drive motor to rotate an auger for the determined duration in response to the control signal so that a helical screw blade of the auger dispenses the user specified amount of smokable material out from a lower portion of a hopper containing the smokable material into an empty cone.
