Smoking article and method
A smoking article provides one or more sheets of material that can be rolled to a tube or shell or tube-like shape and then packaged in an unfilled or partially filled condition, one end portion of the tube or shell or tube-like shape being at least partially closed. In one embodiment, multiple sheets are rolled layers that can optionally be wrapped around a form casing (or pre-rolled inside) and then packaged with one end closed or partially closed. In another embodiment, a rod that assists in loading tobacco into the shell cavity is provided. In one embodiment, the plug takes the form of a mouthpiece.
Transcription factors that regulate nicotine biosynthesis in tobacco
The present invention provides nucleic acids encoding transcription factors and methods of using these nucleic acids to modulate nicotine production in plants and to produce plants having modulated nicotine production.
Tobacco having altered leaf properties and methods of making and using
This disclosure provides tobacco plants containing a PMT RNAi and tobacco plants having a mutation in PMT, and methods of making and using such plants.
Tobacco having altered leaf properties and methods of making and using

Smoke generation product and manufacturing method therefor
A smoke generation product and a manufacturing method therefor, which relate to the technical field of tobaccos. The smoke generation product comprises a filter tip base body, a second connecting component, and an aroma generation portion. The filter tip base body comprises a first connecting component, and comprises a cooling portion and a filtering portion that are sequentially disposed in a smoking direction. The filtering portion and the cooling portion are connected by means of the first connecting component. A filtering passage and a cooling passage are in mutual communication. The aroma generation portion is connected to the filter tip base body by means of the second connecting portion, and the aroma generation portion is configured to release smoke by means of heating and make the smoke enter the cooling passage.
ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
An article (1) for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system is provided. The article comprises a rod comprising a column of aerosol-generating material (3) and a mouthpiece (2) at a first end of the column of aerosol-generating material. The column of aerosol generating material is wrapped in a wrapper (4). A component (5) is located within the wrapper at an opposite end of the column of aerosol-generating material to retain the aerosol generating material within the wrapper. A method for manufacturing an article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system is also disclosed.
Tobacco-containing smoking article
A smoking article may include a cigarette incorporated within an electrically powered aerosol generating device that acts as a holder for that cigarette. The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.
Immobilized additive inserts
Delivery of additives in a smoking article is provided through thermally degradable, robust immobilized additive inserts. Additives can be immobilized in an elongated device or an insert, wherein the elongated device or the insert is sufficiently robust to allow the elongated device or the insert to be manually or machine inserted into a smoking article while maintaining the structure of the elongated device or the insert. By providing additives in the form of thermally degradable immobilized additive inserts, migration and/or loss of the additives in a smoking article prior to smoking can be reduced.
TOBACCO-CONTAINING SMOKING ARTICLE

PODS FOR VAPORIZERS AND SMOKING PRODUCTS
Ready-to-vape and ready-to-smoke precision pods and formulations thereof for harm reduction products particularly to assist smokers to quit tobacco products altogether or to switch to a less harmful product such as e-cigarettes or a tobacco heating product.
