Systems and methods for applying compounds, including cannabis metabolites, to plant materials and plant products are provided. Various solvents may be used to dissolve relatively pure cannabis isolates as part of the process. An immersion, a spray, and an injection method may be used to apply cannabinoids, terpenes, and other products to the plant materials and plant products.

Flavor delivery article

A flavor delivery article is provided including a substantially rod-shaped carrier element and a wrapping element. The wrapping element surrounds at least a portion of the carrier element. The delivery article includes a flavor material within one or both of the carrier element and the wrapping element. The flavor delivery article is adapted for delivery of the flavor material to the mouth of a user under mouth conditions in the absence of combustion or other external heating.

Intervertebral implant

An adjustable spinal fusion intervertebral implant is provided that can comprise upper and lower body portions that can each have proximal and distal wedge surf aces disposed at proximal and distal ends thereof. An actuator shaft disposed intermediate the upper and lower body portions can be actuated to cause proximal and distal protrusions to converge towards each other and contact the respective ones of the proximal and distal wedge surfaces. Such contact can thereby transfer the longitudinal movement of the proximal and distal protrusions against the proximal and distal wedge surfaces to cause the separation of the upper and lower body portions, thereby expanding the intervertebral implant. The upper and lower body portions can have side portions that help facilitate linear translational movement of the upper body portion relative to the lower body portion.

CIGARETTE ROLLING PAPER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
20230148657 · 2023-05-18 ·

A cigarette rolling paper system that incorporates a nicotine laden marking in the inside portion of the paper. The system integrates combustible material laid out in parallel to the nicotine laden mark. The system also has adhesive section on one edge that comes to meet the other edge to contain the combustible material and roll up into a cylindrical shape. The method of using the system envisions laying out the cigarette paper flat on a surface with the nicotine laden mark facing up. Then the user places the combustible material parallel to the mark along the length of the cigarette paper. Then the user rolls up one side of the cigarette paper to meet the other side along the length of the cigarette paper. The edge of one side of the cigarette paper has adhesive material that contacts the other side and thus secures the contents. The rolled up cigarette paper is thus retains a cylindrical shape.

ARTICLE AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING AEROSOL
20230133325 · 2023-05-04 · ·

An aerosol generating article includes: a first segment arranged at an upstream end portion to be inserted into the aerosol generating device; a second segment arranged at a downstream end portion to contact a user's mouth; and a third segment arranged between the first segment and the second segment, and comprising a cooling element, wherein the first segment comprises: a first filter portion; a second filter portion; and a medium portion arranged between the first filter portion and the second filter portion, comprising an aerosol generating substrate and a pH adjuster such that an aerosol containing 20 μg or more of nicotine is discharged per puff when the medium portion is heated at a temperature of 120° C. or lower.

AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE; AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE AND SYSTEM

An aerosol-generating article has a longitudinal extension and includes aerosol-generating substrate extending along the longitudinal extension and susceptor material extending along the longitudinal extension. The aerosol-forming substrate and the susceptor material form an extrudate having a same cross-sectional shape along a length of the extrudate. Additionally, an aerosol-generating device includes a device housing comprising a support element extending from a proximal end of the device housing. The support element is adapted for receiving an aerosol-generating article including aerosol-forming substrate and susceptor material. A mouthpiece of the device includes a cavity to accommodate the support element including aerosol-generating article mounted on the support element. An inductor may be inductively coupled to the susceptor material of the aerosol-generating article during use.

CARYOPHYLLENE-CONTAINING AGENT OR COMPOSITION AND VARIOUS APPLICATIONS THEREOF

Provided are a novel agent or composition and others.

The agent or composition comprises caryophyllene and is used for at least one selected from the following (purposes) (1) to (3) : (1) promoting relaxation, prolonging a resting-state time, and/or prolonging a motionless time, (2) promoting sleep, and (3) preventing blood pressure elevation.

The present invention also relates to a method for inhaling β-caryophyllene simultaneously with smoking a tobacco product, characterized in that the tobacco product contains a β-caryophyllene-containing seamless capsule in a tobacco filter, wherein the seamless capsule contains an essential oil containing β-caryophyllene as an active ingredient. The applicants found that pulmonary inhalation of β-caryophyllene by the above method allows β-caryophyllene to be efficiently distributed throughout the body, leading to achievements of relaxing and sleep-inducing effects, etc.

PLANT EXTRACTS AND THERAPEUTIC COMPOUNDS IN SMOKING UTENSILS AND IN HONEY COMPLEXES
20230189875 · 2023-06-22 ·

Methods and utensils are provided for administering plant extract(s) at controlled amount via smoking, as well as for providing complexes of honey and plant extracts. Plant extract(s) may be used in utensils that are inserted into a smoking appliance, and have indications of the compounds and/or characteristics of the plant extract. Upon smoking the smoking appliance, the plant extracts may be inhaled in pre-defined amounts. Using plant extracts in such way enables standardization of amounts and components thereof, and may be particularly applicable to cannabis oils. Furthermore, complexes of honey and plant extracts may be provided by letting bees step on or be soiled by plant extracts on their way into the beehive, causing them to incorporate the plant extracts into the honey preparation process. Resulting complexes may be a preferable and particularly beneficial way of administering plant extracts, e.g., cannabis extracts.
