A gas conditioning system is described herein. The system includes a slug catcher configured to separate a hydrocarbon feed stream into a liquid stream and a gas stream, and a first hydrate inhibitor injection unit configured to lower a hydrate formation temperature of the gas stream using a first hydrate inhibitor. The system includes a pressure reduction unit, a first separation unit configured to remove a first liquid stream including the first hydrate inhibitor from the gas stream, a mercury removal unit, and an acid gas removal unit. The system also includes a second hydrate inhibitor injection unit configured to further lower the hydrate formation temperature of the gas stream using a second hydrate inhibitor, a cooling unit, a second separation unit configured to remove a second liquid stream including the second hydrate inhibitor from the gas stream, and a dehydration unit configured to produce a final treated gas stream.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING OLEFINS FROM CRUDE OIL
A process for producing olefins from the hydrocarbon feed includes introducing the hydrocarbon feed into a Solvent Deasphalting Unit (SDA) to remove asphaltene from the hydrocarbon feed producing a deasphalted oil stream, wherein the SDA comprises a solvent that reacts with the hydrocarbon feed, and the deasphalted oil stream comprises from 0.01 weight percent (wt. %) to 18 wt. % asphaltenes; introducing the deasphalted oil stream into a steam catalytic cracking system; steam catalytically cracking the deasphalted oil stream in the steam catalytic cracking system in the presence of steam and a nano zeolite cracking catalyst to produce a steam catalytic cracking effluent; and separating the olefins from the steam catalytic cracking effluent.

H.SUB.2.S gas scrubbing and monitoring system for laboratory applications
A system for scrubbing and monitoring H.sub.2S includes: a sample inlet valve that controls an input stream of the hydrocarbon gas from the gas canister; a first scrubber that removes a first portion of H.sub.2S from the input stream and that outputs a first stream with less H.sub.2S than the input stream; a second scrubber that removes a second portion of H.sub.2S from the first stream and that outputs a second stream with less H.sub.2S than the first stream; a H.sub.2S converter that converts all remaining H.sub.2S in the second stream into a di-ketone and that outputs an output stream with a concentration of the di-ketone; an optical detector that measures the concentration of the di-ketone in the output stream; and a processor that determines a concentration of H.sub.2S in the second stream based on the concentration of the di-ketone in the output stream.
Oligomer preparation method and oligomer preparation device
Provided are a method for preparing an oligomer and an apparatus for preparing the same. The method for preparing an oligomer including: supplying a feed stream including a monomer to a reactor to perform an oligomerization reaction; supplying a first discharge stream from the reactor to a first separation device and supplying a second discharge stream from the reactor to a second separation device; recovering the monomer as an upper discharge stream from the second separation device and supplying a lower discharge stream from the second separation device to a third separation device; and supplying an upper discharge stream from the third separation device to the second separation device.
PROCESS FOR INCREASING THE CONCENTRATION OF NORMAL HYDROCARBONS IN A LIGHT NAPHTHA STREAM
A process increases the concentration of normal paraffins in a feed stream comprising separating a naphtha feed stream into a normal paraffin rich stream and a non-normal paraffin rich stream. A naphtha feed stream may be separated into a normal paraffin stream and a non-normal paraffin stream. An isomerization feed stream may be taken from the non-normal paraffin stream and isomerized over an isomerization catalyst to convert non-normal paraffins to normal paraffins and produce an isomerization effluent stream. The isomerization effluent stream may be separated into a propane stream and a C4+ hydrocarbon stream optionally in a single column. The C4+ hydrocarbon stream may be recycled to the step of separating a naphtha feed stream.
PROPANE SEPARATION WITH COMPRESSOR REBOILER
A process and apparatus reboil a propylene splitter bottoms by heat exchange and/or a deethanizer bottoms stream with a compressed propylene splitter overhead stream. Use of single splitter compressor and operation of the propane-propylene splitter column at lower pressure are enabled, whereas conventionally two splitter compressors and higher splitter pressure were necessary to provide a propylene product stream and a propane recycle stream of equivalent quality.
Xylene production processes and systems
A process and related system for producing para-xylene (PX). In an embodiment, the process includes (a) separating a feed stream comprising C.sub.6+ aromatic hydrocarbons into a toluene containing stream and a C.sub.8+ hydrocarbon containing stream and (b) contacting at least part of the toluene containing stream with a methylating agent in a methylation unit to convert toluene to xylenes and produce a methylated effluent stream. In addition, the process includes (c) recovering PX from the methylated effluent stream in (b) to produce a PX depleted stream and (d) transalkylating the PX depleted stream to produce a transalkylation effluent stream. The transalkylation effluent stream includes a higher concentration of toluene than the PX depleted stream. Further, the process includes (e) converting at least some ethylbenzene (EB) within the C.sub.8+ hydrocarbon containing stream into toluene and (f) flowing the toluene converted in (e) to the contacting in (b).
REFRIGERATION RECOVERY FROM REACTOR FEED IN A PROPANE DEHYDROGENATION SYSTEM
A method to recover refrigeration credit from propane feed to a propane dehydrogenation reactor by fully condensing a Depropanizer overhead stream, letting the condensed stream down in pressure, and vaporizing the stream at lower pressure against process streams to recover refrigeration credit.
