20250019335 · 2025-01-16 ·

Proposed is a novel quinizarin derivative, and the novel quinizarin derivative has the abilities to inhibit a BET protein, and thus can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of BET protein-related diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune or inflammatory diseases, metabolic diseases, and viral diseases. Particularly, the novel quinizarin derivative has the abilities to inhibit lipogenesis and the expression of liposynthetic factors, and thus can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver.

METHOD OF PRODUCING ANTHRAQUINONE-BASED SUBSTANCE

A method of producing an anthraquinone-based substance represented by the following chemical formula:

##STR00001##

where at least one of R.sub.1 to R.sub.8 is a hydroxy group, and at least one of R.sub.1 to R.sub.8 is an alkoxy group, includes the steps of: preparing a starting material represented by the following chemical formula:

##STR00002##

where at least two of the R.sub.1 to R.sub.8 are hydroxy groups; and reacting the starting material with an organic alkylating agent. The amount of the organic alkylating agent to be reacted with the starting material is more than or equal to 0.05 mol and less than n mol per 1 mol of the starting material, where n is the number of hydroxy groups contained in the starting material.

Methods for oxidation of alpha tocotrienol in the presence of non-alpha tocotrienols
09567279 · 2017-02-14 · ·

A method of producing alpha-tocotrienol quinone or a stereoisomer thereof, the method comprising selective opening of alpha-tocotrienol chroman to alpha-tocotrienol quinone in the presence of non-alpha tocotrienol chromans by oxidizing alpha-to-cotrienol with a metal salt oxidizing agent, wherein the stoichiometric ratio of metal salt oxidizing agent/alpha-tocotrienol is at least 4:1 and wherein said metal oxidizing agent is added in sequential additions, in order to reduce oxidation of any amounts of non-alpha tocotrienol chromans that might have been present in the starting alpha-tocotrienol chroman material. This process uses conditions favoring oxidation rates of the alpha tocotrienol chroman vs. the non-alpha tocotrienol chromans.
