A HAND HELD DEVICE FOR LAND MANAGMENT
A hand held device for land management is described for a user of the device to provide agricultural information relating to a field, wherein the agricultural information includes information on at least one crop. A transmitter of the device transmits information including the agricultural information relating to the field. A receiver of the device receives agricultural data that includes best practices for the growing of the at least one crop. A processing unit of the device determines agricultural management information on the basis of the agricultural data. An output unit of the device outputs the agricultural management information to the user of the device.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR GROWING PLANTS ON MULTILAYER PRINCIPLE
A method and a system for growing plants on multilayer principle in mobile gutter farming is described, whereby, in the process of growing plants planted in cultivation gutters, said plants are conveyed in cultivation layers present on top of each other in a cultivation space in a longitudinal direction of the cultivation space in one or opposite directions. The cultivation gutters and the plants contained therein, are treated in the cultivation space by means of a processing arrangement in a cultivation layer-specific manner, whereby the cultivation gutters and the plants contained therein are first of all conveyed by motion elements in each cultivation layer of the cultivation space in the longitudinal direction of the cultivation space in opposite directions and are treated by processing elements in each cultivation layer of the cultivation space separately, in a manner substantially independent of the other cultivation layers.

ROW CLEANER FOR AGRICULTURAL SEEDER
The present invention is a row cleaning device having a main body with a proximal end and a distal end, the main body proximal end is adapted to mount to a seeder. A pivot leg has a first end and a second end, the first end is pivotally mounted to the main body distal end at a pivot, the second end extends toward the main body proximal end. A clearing implement is mounted to the pivot leg second end and rotates with respect to the pivot leg. The row cleaning device is adapted to be driven by a seeder in a direction of travel with the clearing implement being located behind the pivot in the direction of travel. The pivot leg pivots with respect to the main body as the clearing implement moves along the ground in the direction of travel.
Computer-implemented recommendation of side-by-side planting in agricultural fields
Techniques for recommending side-by-side plantings of pairs of seeds include a server computer receiving agricultural data records that represent crop seed data describing seed and yield properties of seeds and first data for agricultural fields where the seeds were planted. The server receives second data for available seeds and automatically calculates a dataset of success probability scores that describe the probability of a successful yield on the target fields. Data is organized as pairs to facilitate comparison of actual plantings to optimized plantings that have a probability of success (POS), in terms of yield lift or increased yield season-over-season, for different yield values. Confidence values are generated and stored in association with the POS values and can be used as a basis of visual output to support planting and/or field management decisions as part of an automated intelligent agricultural decision support system.
System and method for initiating control of components of a work vehicle based on input received from a user interface of an associated agricultural implement
In one aspect a system for controlling the operation of an agricultural implement may include a vehicle-based controller configured to control an operation of a valve provided in operative association with a work vehicle, with the valve being configured to control a fluid flow to a plurality of fluid conduits. The system may also include an agricultural implement configured to be towed by the work vehicle. The implement may include a user interface having a first input device configured to receive an input associated with a selected fluid conduit of the plurality of fluid conduits. Furthermore, implement may include an implement-based controller supported on the implement and communicatively coupled to the user interface. The implement-based controller may be configured to initiate control of the operation of the valve based on the input received from the user interface in a manner that provides the fluid flow to the selected fluid conduit.
Double-shoot disc drill using two distinct staggered row units
Disc drill agricultural implements are configured to form product rows in a planting surface of a field. The disc drill may include two different sections of row units, the first section containing single-shoot row units and the second section containing double-shoot row units. The configuration may be used to produce three sets of product rows which may be used placement of seeds, fertilizer and/or other agricultural products.
