Cutting heads and agricultural seeder implements formed therewith
A soil cutting head for a mount of an agricultural implement includes a head having a leading extremity for cutting into soil ahead of the mount, and a fertilizer tube extending through the head to a discharge end for discharging a stream of fertilizer into the soil from the head.
Automated leveling system for maintaining level of a surface
An automated leveling system for maintaining a level of a surface, comprising a surface traveling device and a leveling module attached to the surface traveling device. The leveling module comprises a depression detector arm assembly, at least one computing device, and a level-sensing detector. The level-sensing detector senses a level of a surface as the surface traveling device operates across the surface. The level-sensing detector moves across the surface according to the operation of the surface traveling device, and transmits a depression reporting signal to the computing device. The depression reporting signal indicates the presence of a depression in the surface if the level-sensing detector contacts a depression in the surface over a depression threshold.
Agricultural implement having mid-mounted fertilizer applicators
An agricultural implement includes a frame, a first row of row units coupled to the frame, and a second row of row units coupled to the frame. The second row of row units is positioned behind the first row of row units relative to a direction of travel, and each row unit is configured to deposit seeds into the soil. The agricultural implement also includes a row of fertilizer applicators coupled to the frame and positioned between the first row and the second row of row units relative to the direction of travel. Each fertilizer applicator is laterally positioned between one row unit of the first row and one row unit of the second row that is laterally adjacent to the one row unit of the first row, and each fertilizer applicator is configured to direct displaced soil laterally toward the one row unit of the second row.
Propulsion assembly for an agricultural implement
An agricultural planter is configured to be moved over a supporting surface by a vehicle. The agricultural planter includes a frame and a planter assembly coupled to the frame. A first propulsion assembly is coupled to the frame at a first position with the first propulsion assembly having a first traction member configured to engage the supporting surface. A second propulsion assembly is coupled to the frame at a second position with the second propulsion assembly having a second traction member configured to engage the supporting surface. A drive assembly is operably coupled to at least one of the first or second propulsion assemblies and configured to drive at least one of the first or second traction members during operation of the planter assembly. The first traction member is configured to be driven independently of the second traction member.

System, method, and apparatus for planter weight transfer
An removably installable apparatus and system for managing weight transfer along a tractor drawn tool bar for use in row planting systems is provided. The planter weight transfer system comprises first and second bolt-on bracket assemblies, each bolt-on bracket assembly comprising a primary plate and a secondary plate secured to each other and to a row planter tool bar by a set of fasteners. Additionally, the bolt-on brackets are joined at the top by an actuator which applies a force on the brackets.

System and method for controlling the operation of a seed-planting implement based on cover crop density
In one aspect, a system for controlling the operation of a seed-planting implement may include a ground-engaging tool and an actuator configured to adjust an operating parameter of the ground-engaging tool. Furthermore, the system may include a controller configured to control the operation of the seed-planting implement such that a primary crop is planted in a field as the seed-planting implement is being moved across the field. Additionally, the controller may be configured to determine a density of a cover crop present within the field. Moreover, the controller may be configured to determine an adjustment to be made to the operating parameter of the ground-engaging tool based on the determined density. In addition, the controller may be configured to control the operation of the actuator to execute the adjustment of the operating parameter.
DETACHABLE DEPTH-GAUGE LEVELLING WHEEL WITH STUBBLE SWEEPER
The object of the invention is a groove depth-leveling wheel used in planting groups to ensure that all the seeds stand at the same depth. The wheel has blades on its outer side to prevent reeds, stubble, straws etc. from sticking between this wheel and the planting disc and, therefore, affecting planting efficiency. Such elements may block the wheel or the planting disc itself and consequently, prevent planting. In addition, its design features minimize downtime for not only maintenance and greasing of the bearings but also for tyre and bearing replacement, due to wear, as it is not necessary to remove the wheel from its mounting arm.
Furrow opener shank with spoked wheel
A seeding implement has an implement frame with a lateral frame member. Spoked wheels rotate about a wheel axis that is fixed with respect to the implement frame. Shanks are mounted to the lateral frame member such that each shank is movable with respect to the frame. Each spoked wheel rotates about the wheel axis in a plane that is vertical, aligned with, and forward of, a front face of a corresponding shank, and ends of spokes pass adjacent to a front face of the shank. A spoke clearance distance between the ends of the spokes and the front face of the corresponding shank remains within a trash clearing range as the shank moves with respect to the implement frame from a first operating position to a second operating position that is below the first operating position.
