ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE LIQUID DETECTION AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
An electronic cigarette or similar vaporization devices include a liquid which is vaporized or atomized in an atomizer. An e-liquid detection system can verify that the e-liquid is acceptable for use in the device. The e-liquid detection system may detect one or more indicators, and/or physical or chemical properties of the e-liquid. The e-liquid detection system may also measure the e-liquid level in the device.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE HAVING A LIQUID INDICATOR
An aerosol-generating article may comprise a liquid storage portion containing a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, and a hydrochromic material provided on the liquid storage portion. The hydrochromic material has a first colour when in the presence of or when in contact with the liquid aerosol-forming substrate and a second colour when in the absence of or when not in contact with the liquid aerosol-forming substrate. An aerosol-generating system may comprise the aerosol-generating article, an aerosol-generating element, and an aerosol-generating device. An aerosol-generating device may comprise an electrical power supply, an electronic photosensor, and a controller configured to control a supply of electrical power from the electrical power supply based on a value of an optical property sensed with the electronic photosensor.
REFILLABLE AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE
A refillable heated aerosol-generating article for use with an electrically-operated aerosol-generating device has an outlet end for insertion into a user's mouth during use, and a distal end upstream from the outlet end. The article includes a refillable liquid retention section and an aerosol-generation section located within a casing. The refillable liquid retention section includes a liquid retention medium, and the aerosol-generation section is located downstream of the refillable liquid retention section. The liquid retention medium has a capacity to absorb up to 35 microliters of liquid. The article is configured such that, during use, air can be drawn through the article from the distal end to the end, passing through the refillable liquid retention section. The article defines an opening or port for allowing the refillable liquid retention section to be charged with liquid.
FLUID PERMEABLE HEATER ASSEMBLY FOR AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEMS AND FLAT ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE FILAMENT ARRANGEMENT FOR FLUID PERMEABLE HEATER ASSEMBLIES
An electrically conductive flat filament arrangement for a fluid permeable heater assembly for aerosol-generating systems includes a center portion and two side portions. The two side portions are on opposite sides of the center portion. The center portion defines a heating region of the filament arrangement and the side portions define electrical contact regions of the filament arrangement. The center portion and the two side portions each include a plurality of openings. Each plurality of openings defines an open area of the center portion and an open area of each of the two side portions. A percentage of the total area of the center portion including the open area of the center portion is greater than the percentage of the total area of one of the side portions including the open area of the side portion.
Heating smokeable material
An apparatus comprising a heater configured to heat smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material, wherein the heater is elongate and comprises a plurality of independently controllable heating regions arranged sequentially along a longitudinal axis of the heater.
HEAT REVERSIBLE COMPOSITION FOR SMOKING GOODS THAT ARE GEL-LIKE AT NORMAL TEMPERATURES
The present invention provides a thermoreversible composition for smoking goods that are gel-like at normal temperatures, comprising glycerin at 69.0-94.8 wt % with respect to the entirety of the composition, native-type gellan gum at 0.2-1.0 wt % with respect to the entirety of the composition, and water at 5.0-30.0 wt %.

Aerosol provision article
There is described an aerosol provision article for use with an aerosol provision device for generating an inhalable medium including an aerosol. The aerosol provision article includes a first chamber for containing a first substance that is heatable to generate an aerosol; a conduit that extends through the first chamber, the conduit having an inlet through which aerosol generated from the first substance can enter the conduit and an outlet through which the aerosol can exit the conduit and a second chamber for receiving a second substance, wherein the second chamber is downstream of the outlet of the conduit. The article is arranged such that in use aerosol exiting the outlet of the conduit passes through the second substance received in the second chamber, and wherein the cross-sectional area of the conduit increases at or towards the outlet.
Heater assembly for an aerosol-generating device
A removable heater assembly for an aerosol-generating device is provided, the removable heater assembly being configured to heat a tobacco plug and including an electrical heater, a data storage device, and data stored on the data storage device, the data including calibration data for the electrical heater. An aerosol-generating device is also provided, including the removable heater assembly, a housing defining a cavity configured to removably receive the removable heater assembly and an aerosol-generating article, a power supply, and a controller configured to receive data from the data storage device of the removable heater assembly and to control a supply of electrical power from the power supply to the electrical heater of the removable heater assembly based on the received data.
AEROSOL PRECURSOR COMPOSITION MIXING SYSTEM FOR AN AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery device filling system. The system includes multiple source containers each respectively including a differing aerosol precursor composition. The system further includes a mixing container configured to engage the source containers to receive and mix the aerosol precursor compositions to form a mixed aerosol precursor composition. An aerosol delivery device may engage the mixing container to receive at least a portion of the mixed aerosol precursor composition. A related method for customizing an aerosol precursor composition is also provided.
