The compounds of the invention may be useful in the treatment of many disorders associated with P2X.sub.3 receptors mechanisms, such as respiratory diseases including cough, asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
