METHOD FOR SELECTING A SINGLE CELL EXPRESSING A HETEROGENEOUS COMBINATION OF ANTIBODIES
The present invention provides combinations of specific binding proteins, such as immunoglobulins, that are designed to be true combinations, essentially all components of the combination being functional and compatible with each other. The invention further provides a method for producing a composition comprising at least two different proteinaceous molecules comprising paired variable regions, the at least two proteinaceous molecules having different binding specificities, comprising paired variable regions, at least two proteinaceous molecules having different binding specificities, comprising contacting at least three different variable regions under conditions allowing for pairing of variable regions and harvesting essentially all proteinaceous molecules having binding specificities resulting from the pairing.
ENGINEERED LISTERIA AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The invention provides a bacterium containing a polynucleotide comprising a nucleic acid encoding a heterologous antigen, as well as fusion protein partners. Also provided are vectors for mediating site-specific recombination and vectors comprising removable antibiotic resistance genes.
Methods for Enhancing Bacterial Cell Display of Proteins and Peptides
Methods of making and using bacterial display polypeptide libraries using circularly permuted OmpX (CPX) variants are disclosed. The invention further relates to methods for enhancing the display of proteins and peptides at the surface of bacteria by optimizing linkers and incorporating mutations at positions 165 and 166 of CPX.
BCR-ABL VARIANTS
A splice variant of bcr-abl mRNA that produces BCR-ABL protein with a truncated C-terminus and its role in resistance to treatment with kinase inhibitors is disclosed. Vectors for expressing the truncated gene product are provided as well as recombinant cells that express the truncated gene product from a cDNA construct. Also provided are methods compositions and kits for detecting the BCR-ABL splice variant. Additionally, methods for screening BCR-ABL kinase domain inhibitors which rely on the recombinant cells and methods of predicting likelihood for resistance of a CML patient with a BCR/ABL translocation respond to treatment with one or more BCR-ABL kinase inhibitors are also disclosed.
NOVEL IMMUNOTHERAPY AGAINST SEVERAL TUMORS INCLUDING GASTROINTESTINAL AND GASTRIC CANCER
A method of treating a patient who has gastric cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, and/or renal cancer includes administering to said patient a composition containing a population of activated T cells that selectively recognize cells in the patient that aberrantly express a peptide. A pharmaceutical composition contains activated T cells that selectively recognize cells in a patient that aberrantly express a peptide, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, in which the T cells bind to the peptide in a complex with an MHC class I molecule, and the composition is for treating the patient who has gastric cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, and/or renal cancer. A method of treating a patient who has cancer includes administering to said patient a composition comprising a peptide in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, thereby inducing a T-cell response to the cancer.
ANTIGEN PRESENTING CELL TARGETED CANCER VACCINES
The present invention includes compositions and methods for the expression, secretion and use of novel compositions for use as, e.g., vaccines and antigen delivery vectors, to delivery antigens to antigen presenting cells. In one embodiment, the vector is an anti-CD40 antibody, or fragments thereof, and one or more antigenic peptides linked to the anti-CD40 antibody or fragments thereof, including humanized antibodies.
Influenza Virus Vaccines And Uses Thereof
Provided herein are influenza hemagglutinin stem domain polypeptides, compositions comprising the same, vaccines comprising the same and methods of their use.
CELL FOR USE IN IMMUNOTHERAPY WHICH CONTAINS MODIFIED NUCLEIC ACID CONSTRUCT ENCODING WILMS TUMOR GENE PRODUCT OR FRAGMENT THEREOF, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID CELL, AND SAID NUCLEIC ACID CONSTRUCT
A cell of the present invention contains a nucleic acid construct encoding a WT1 gene product or a fragment of the WT1 gene product. The nucleic acid construct contains (i) a region encoding a desired fragment of the WT1 gene product and (ii) only AUG as a functional start codon. The present invention can provide a cell into which the nucleic acid construct is introduced so that an expression level of a WT1 gene product or a fragment of the WT1 gene product is remarkably enhanced.
ENZYMES AND METHODS FOR STYRENE SYNTHESIS
The subject technology generally relates to biosynthesis of styrene. Certain embodiments of the subject technology is based, in part, on the recognition that phenylalanine can be converted to styrene by a two-step pathway of deamination and de-carboxylation, with trans-cinnamic acid (tCA) as the intermediate. Two types of enzymes are directly involved in this process, phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), which converts phenylalanine to tCA, and cinnamic acid decarboxylase, which coverts tCA to styrene. Host cells expressing these two types of enzymes can be cultured in bioreactor to produce styrene from renewable substrates such as glucose.
mAb-DRIVEN CHIMERIC ANTIGEN RECEPTOR SYSTEMS FOR SORTING/DEPLETING ENGINEERED IMMUNE CELLS
A polypeptide encoding a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) comprising at least one extracellular binding domain that comprises a scFv formed by at least a VH chain and a VL chain specific to an antigen, wherein said extracellular binding domain comprises at least one mAb-specific epitope.
