RESISTANT STARCH AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A resistant starch is provided which, when added to a food, does not reduce the flavor of the food. This resistant starch is characterized in that the supernatant, obtained by creating a 33% suspension of the resistant starch in ultrapure water and centrifugally separating for 10 minutes at 2000×g, exhibits electrical conductivity of less than 350 μS/cm. A method for producing a resistant starch is also provided which involves a step for mixing a raw material starch and an acid and subjecting the mixture to conditions in which the resistant starch is generated.
Hydrogenated glucose polymer composition containing dietary fibres
The invention relates to a hydrogenated glucose polymer composition having a total fibre content of more than 50% as determined by the AOAC 2001.03 method, and a dry weight reducing sugar content, SR, lower than 800 ppm. The invention also relates to a method for producing said composition. The invention is also directed to a food or pharmaceutical product comprising said composition.

High molecular weight glucan having low digestion rate
One purpose of the present invention is to provide a high molecular weight glucan having both properties low digestion rate and high digestibility. A high molecular weight glucan that has property digested slowly and contains almost no indigestible ingredients is produced by enzymatic reactions of (1) a specific concentration of branching enzyme and (2) 4-α-glucanotransferase and/or an exo-type amylase to a branched glucan used as a substrate.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing physically modified starch by utilizing heating and freezing-thawing (FT) on starch or a starch-gum mixture obtained by adding gum to starch. According to the method for preparing physically modified starch of the present invention, the weakness of natural starch can be supplemented, and heat and shear stability, gel-forming ability, and storage stability thereof can be improved. Especially, modified starch with a significantly improved modification effect can be produced by the addition of gum and the heating and freezing-thawing treatment. The present invention can significantly improve quality and storage stability of various starchy foods through a simple modification procedure, and thus it is expected that the present invention can be variously utilized in industry field of food including starchy food.

These cyclodextrin-containing polymers improve drug stability and solubility, and reduce toxicity of the small molecule therapeutic when used in vivo. Furthermore, by selecting from a variety of linker groups and targeting ligands the polymers present methods for controlled delivery of the therapeutic agents. The invention also relates to methods of treating subjects with the therapeutic compositions described herein. The invention further relates to methods for conducting pharmaceutical business comprising manufacturing, licensing, or distributing kits containing or relating to the polymeric compounds described herein.

REMOISTENING OF THERMALLY INHIBITED STARCH AND/OR FLOUR
Disclosed is a process for the treatment of a raw material containing thermally inhibited starch and/or thermally inhibited flour as its largest constituent, whereby the moisture content of the raw material is at most 8 wt. %, including a remoistening step wherein between 0.1 and 30 wt. % of an aqueous phase is added to the raw material to form a product containing remoistened starch and/or remoistened flour.

Biodegradable packaging for storing eggs
A biodegradable packaging for storing eggs is provided and includes a package manufactured from the plastic transformation of a biodegradable composition, including at least one source of gelatinized starch, at least one source of powder starch and at least one natural fiber. The embodiments present a new design, improved ergonomics of handhold, high stacking capacity, improved mechanical resistance and moisture resistance over other biodegradable packages, besides high thermal insulation. After consumption of the eggs initially packaged in its interior, the embodiments may be reused as a plant's vase, as a complement to animal feed or as an organic compound.
