Provided is a graft copolymer (A) obtainable by graft-polymerizing, in the presence of 30 to 80 parts by mass of an ethylene-based polymer (a), an aromatic vinyl-based monomer (b) and, if necessary, another vinyl-based monomer (c) copolymerizable with the aromatic vinyl-based monomer (b) in a total amount of 20 to 70 parts by mass (provided that the sum of the components (a), (b) and (c) is 100 parts by mass), in which the ethylene-based polymer (a) has a density of 0.900 g/cm.sup.3 or more and less than 0.966 g/cm.sup.3, a number average molecular weight of 10,000 to 50,000, and a molecular weight distribution of 5 to 15, and the proportion of the ethylene-based polymer (a) molecules having a molecular weight of 10,000 or less is 5.5% or more.

The present disclosure provides an encapsulating composition, a composition, an encapsulating glue film, an electronic component and a solar cell assembly. The encapsulating composition comprises polyolefin resin, polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate and organic peroxide, and the structural formula of the polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate is represented by a formula (I). When the polyolefin resin is heated and melted, the ethylene glycol dimethacrylate is delaminated and aggregated in the polyolefin resin. A polymer network structure that has a three-dimensional network structure and that has several ester groups and ether bonds is formed in situ in a polyolefin resin matrix, and the polymer network structure may adsorb residual metal ions in the polyolefin resin, thereby reducing the mobility of the metal ions, so as to improve the dry insulation resistance of the polyolefin resin. In addition, said composition has simple components, readily available raw materials and low costs.

The present disclosure provides an encapsulating composition, a composition, an encapsulating glue film, an electronic component and a solar cell assembly. The encapsulating composition comprises polyolefin resin, polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate and organic peroxide, and the structural formula of the polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate is represented by a formula (I). MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN RESIN
Provided is a modified polyolefin resin that is excellent in adhesion to nonpolar substrates such as a polyolefin substrate, and excellent in stability in an alcohol solvent. In the modified polyolefin resin, the following polymer (A) is grafted on the following resin (B).
Polymer (A): a polymer including at least one constitutional unit selected from the group consisting of a constitutional unit derived from an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a constitutional unit derived from a derivative of an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and having a hydroxyl value in a range of 10 mgKOH/g or larger and 200 mgKOH/g or smaller.
Resin (B): a polyolefin resin or a modified product thereof.

A silane-grafted polyolefin composition is disclosed and includes a desired reduced specific weight material. The composition finds application in a wide array of uses, and in particular automotive and uses such as windshield wipers, where this composition is used in place of conventional materials such as TPV and EPDM rubber formulations.

A modified polyolefin resin may be capable of obtaining an intended adhesion strength regardless of a kind of a base resin thereof even when graft modification is carried out by using an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having a cyclic structure. Such a modified polyolefin resin may be a modified product of a polyolefin resin and satisfying (A) and (B): (A): a modifying component includes an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having a cyclic structure; and (B): a ring-opening degree expressed by formula (1) is 40 or more:
ring-opening degree=modification degree K?ring-opening rate R(1),
wherein, in formula (1), the modification degree K is a grafting weight (% by weight) of the ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative, and the ring-opening rate R is a ring-opening rate (%) of the cyclic structure in the ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative.
