Waistband base layer construction
A structure for an article of clothing is provided and may include a first material layer defining an opening of the article of clothing and having a first portion defining an inner surface of the opening and an outer surface formed on an opposite side of the first portion than the inner surface and defining an outer surface of the opening. The structure may additionally include a plastic film attached to the inner surface and movable between a relaxed state and an expanded state, whereby the plastic film substantially surrounds the opening of the article of clothing.
SWIMSUIT WITH LEFT-HANDED OPENING MECHANISM
A swimsuit having a torso-covering section extending from a bustline to a hemline. The torso-covering section will have an opening mechanism on the front panel that extends from a first point on the bustline in a diagonal direction to a second point on the hemline. The torso-covering section is defined by front, back, left, and right panels. The point on the hemline is situated on an opposite side of the wearer than the point on the bustline. The opening mechanism has a starting point situated on a wearer's leg cuff on one side of the wearer's body to an ending point on the wearer's bustline on the side of the body opposite to the leg cuff, for example the starting point is on the left leg cuff and the ending point or terminus is on the bustline on the right side of the wearer.

A female two-piece swimsuit (1) with a lower halfsuit (3) forming a tubular first trunk portion (5) having an upper slip-in aperture (6) and two tubular thigh portions (8) joining each other in a first crotch portion (9), and with an upper halfsuit (2) forming a second tubular trunk portion (11) having two leg apertures (12), a second crotch portion (13) extending between the two lower leg apertures (12), a neck opening (14) opposite the second crotch portion (13) and two lateral shoulder openings (15), wherein the upper halfsuit (2) is slipped over the lower halfsuit (3) so that the thigh portions (8) of the lower halfsuit portion (3) extend through the lower leg apertures (12) of the upper halfsuit (2) on the outside of the upper halfsuit (2) and, in an overlap region (15), the second trunk portion (11) externally wraps the first trunk portion (5) and the second crotch portion (13) externally wraps the first crotch portion (9), wherein the upper and lower halfsuits (2, 3) are in slidable contact to each other in said overlap region (15).
