BINDER COMPOSITION FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, SLURRY COMPOSITION FOR SECONDARY BATTERY ELECTRODE, ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
Provided is a binder composition for a secondary battery with which it is possible to produce a slurry composition for a secondary battery electrode that has excellent preservation stability and can produce an electrode having excellent peel strength. The binder composition for a secondary battery contains a water-soluble polymer and polyvalent metal ions. The water-soluble polymer includes a vinyl alcohol structural unit and a carboxy group-containing monomer unit. The content of the polyvalent metal ions is not less than 0.1 mass ppm and not more than 10,000 mass ppm relative to the water-soluble polymer.
BINDER COMPOSITION FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, SLURRY COMPOSITION FOR SECONDARY BATTERY ELECTRODE, ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
Provided is a binder composition for a secondary battery with which it is possible to produce a slurry composition for a secondary battery electrode that has excellent preservation stability and can produce an electrode having excellent peel strength. The binder composition for a secondary battery contains a water-soluble polymer and polyvalent metal ions. The water-soluble polymer includes a vinyl alcohol structural unit and a carboxy group-containing monomer unit. The content of the polyvalent metal ions is not less than 0.1 mass ppm and not more than 10,000 mass ppm relative to the water-soluble polymer.
PREPARATION OF AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF ACRYLATE-SILOXANE COPOLYMER PARTICLES
The present invention is a method for preparing a aqueous dispersion of copolymer particles comprising structural units of a) an acrylate monomer; b) an acid monomer; and c) a siloxane acrylate monomer of formula I:

The aqueous dispersion prepared by the method of the present invention is useful in a variety of applications ranging from architectural coatings to personal care products.

Disclosed is a composition comprising a multi-stage flexible acrylic resin and a branched polymer which is a reaction product of reactants comprising one or more monoethylenically unsaturated ester monomers, a chain transfer agent in an amount of 0.1 to 15 weight percent, and a crosslinker in an amount of 0.1 to 15 weight percent of a crosslinker, wherein weight percent is based on total amount of reactants, provided the amount of crosslinker is within +/−5 weight percent of the amount of chain transfer agent, and wherein the crosslinker comprises at least two carbon-carbon double bonds having different reactivity, and films thereof.
A CROSSLINKING MATERIAL AND USES THEREOF
A crosslinking material, the crosslinking material comprising the reaction product of a reaction mixture comprising: (ii) ≥70% by weight of a cyclic unsaturated acid anhydride and/or diacid derivative thereof by total solid weight of the monomers from which the crosslinking material is formed; (ii) optionally, an ethylenically unsaturated monomer; and (iii) optionally, an alcohol, amine, thiol and/or water, wherein at least a portion of the cyclic unsaturated acid anhydride and/or diacid derivative thereof is reacted with the alcohol, amine, thiol and/or water, when present; and wherein the crosslinking material has an acid number of at least 100 mg KOH/g.

(METH)ACRYLIC ESTER COPOLYMER AND CURABLE COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME
Provided is a (meth)acrylic ester copolymer (B) having a reactive silicon group represented by the following formula (1): —SiR.sup.5.sub.cX.sub.3-c (1). R.sup.5 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X is a hydroxy group or a hydrolyzable group, and c is 0 or 1. A monomer component of the copolymer includes a (meth)acrylic ester (b1), a (meth)acrylic ester polymer (b2) having more than one (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule, and a chain transfer agent (b3) having a mercapto group. The monomer component further includes a monomer (b4) having a reactive silicon group and a polymerizable unsaturated group, and/or the chain transfer agent (b3) having a mercapto group further has a reactive silicon group.
(METH)ACRYLIC ESTER COPOLYMER AND CURABLE COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME
Provided is a (meth)acrylic ester copolymer (B) having a reactive silicon group represented by the following formula (1): —SiR.sup.5.sub.cX.sub.3-c (1). R.sup.5 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X is a hydroxy group or a hydrolyzable group, and c is 0 or 1. A monomer component of the copolymer includes a (meth)acrylic ester (b1), a (meth)acrylic ester polymer (b2) having more than one (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule, and a chain transfer agent (b3) having a mercapto group. The monomer component further includes a monomer (b4) having a reactive silicon group and a polymerizable unsaturated group, and/or the chain transfer agent (b3) having a mercapto group further has a reactive silicon group.
