An optical member and a method for producing this optical member are provided. The optical member is composed of an injection molded article. The injection molded article includes a glutarimide resin that contains a glutarimide unit having an imidocarbonyl group provided by the imidization of a carbonyl group deriving from (meth)acrylate ester monomer, a repeat unit deriving from (meth)acrylate ester monomer, and a repeat unit deriving from aromatic vinyl monomer. The glutarimide resin has an orientation birefringence of 0.510.sup.3 to 0.510.sup.3, a photoelastic constant of 3.010.sup.12 Pa.sup.1 to 3.010.sup.12 Pa.sup.1, and a glass transition temperature of at least 125 C. The average value of the phase difference of the optical member is not more than 20 nm.

A modified diene polymer is provided which may be added to a rubber composition together with a filler to allow the filler to be dispersed in a crosslinked product of the composition in a state that is ideal for attaining enhanced properties. A method for producing such modified diene polymers is also provided. The modified linear diene polymer has a specific functional group only at one end thereof, the average number of the functional groups per molecule being 0.8 to 1.

An amino silane-based compound, methods of preparing the same, and a modified conjugated diene-based polymer including an amino silane-based functional group are disclosed herein. WATER-ABSORBENT RESIN AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE

Provided are a water-absorbent resin easily separable from a recyclable resource in recovering the recyclable resource, and an absorbent article containing an absorbent material containing the water-absorbent resin. The water-absorbent resin according to the present invention has such a structure that a polymer formed from a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer is crosslinked by using a post-crosslinking agent. The water-absorbent resin has (1) a water-retention capacity for physiological saline of 35 g/g or more, (2) a water-absorption capacity for physiological saline under a load of 4.14 kPa of 10 mL/g or more, (3) an initial gel viscosity of 3000 mPa.Math.s or more, and (4) a gel decomposition index of 0.60 or less: gel decomposition index=B/A wherein A represents an initial gel viscosity (mPa.Math.s), and B represents a gel viscosity after one day (mPa.Math.s).

FLUORESCENT POLYCARBOXYLATE SUPERPLASTICIZER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A fluorescent polycarboxylate superplasticizer and a preparation method thereof. The preparation process of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is as follows. Firstly, a redox radical polymerization is performed on a monomer of an unsaturated acid and a derivative thereof, and an unsaturated polyether monomer to form a polycarboxylate superplasticizer pre-product. Then, the polycarboxylate superplasticizer pre-product is subjected to an esterification reaction with an organic molecule having a fluorescent property to obtain the fluorescent polycarboxylate superplasticizer. The method effectively reduces the reaction difficulty and makes the reaction rapid and efficient. The fluorescent polycarboxylate superplasticizer is non-toxic and non-polluting, and has good controllability in the production process and less side reactions. The fluorescent polycarboxylate superplasticizer can be applied to different kinds of cement, having a high water-reducing rate, and a relatively high cost performance and competitive advantage.

ACRYLIC POLYSILOXANE RESIN COATING COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF

An object of the present invention is to provide a coating composition capable of forming a coating film which can maintain its appearance and gloss over a long period and which has high film hardness and high flexibility and exhibits excellent adhesion with respect to an epoxy resin anticorrosive coating film. An acrylic polysiloxane resin coating composition of the invention includes (A) a silicone resin, (B) a compound having one or more functional groups capable of undergoing Michael addition reaction with an unsaturated double bond in an acryloyloxy group, and having one or more alkoxy groups bonded to silicon, (C) a trifunctional or polyfunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer having a cyclic structure, and (D) a bifunctional acrylate monomer having no ether structures (except an ether structure in an acryloyloxy group) and no aromatic rings, the mass ratio of the total amount of (A) and (B) to the total amount of any acrylate oligomer(s) and any acrylate monomer(s) being 40:60 to 70:30.

The present invention relates to a method of producing a rubber, comprising (co)polymerizing at least one diene monomer and optionally at least one vinylaromatic monomer, and a vinyl-silicone compound, in the presence of a functionalizing lithium initiator, and modifying the obtained (co)polymer by a poly functional silicon-containing agent. The functionalizing lithium initiator is obtained by reacting an organolithium compound, a secondary amine and a diene-containing compound. In addition, the instant inventon relates to rubbers obtained by said method, rubber compositions and vulcanizates based thereon, semi-finished products and tires, comprising such a rubber. The present invention provides obtaining of rubber compositions and vulcanizates based thereon characterized by the improved complex of histeresis properties.
