POSTURE PERFORMANCE GARMENT
Various embodiments are described herein for a garment for improving an individual's posture when the individual wears the garment. The garment may comprise front and rear garment portions to cover at least a front portion and a rear portion respectively of the individual's torso. The garment also includes an adjustable set of straps that are adjustable from a rest position to a tensioned position and are collectively disposed over shoulder regions and under armpit regions of the front and rear garment portions. When the individual wears the garment and adjusts the straps to the tensioned position, the straps exert a downward retraction pulling force on the individual's shoulders and a backward pulling force on the individual's chest region thereby improving the individual's posture.
AIRBAG LUNG
A method of inflating an airbag includes expanding a collapsed or folded frame that supports and expands the airbag. The expansion of the airbag creates a lower pressure in the interior of the airbag as compared to the exterior, which allows air to be drawn into the airbag due to the lower pressure to fill the airbag. The frame can be made from inflatable ribs, or the frame can be made from interconnecting rigid members. The inflatable ribs can be inflated using a compressed gas canister, while the frame made from rigid members can be expanded using a spring. Filling a frame made from inflatable ribs, as opposed to the airbag itself allows for a smaller compressed gas canister.
Lighted headgear
Lighted headgear, and more particularly lighted earwear such as earmuffs or headphones, is provided herein that are configured to mount or secure to a user's head while providing light forwardly thereof. The lighted headgear includes ear engaging or covering assemblies, which can be connected by a headband or other crown portion. The ear covering assemblies can include one or more light sources mounted thereto or can have a light module secured thereto to provide a user with hands-free lighting.
Dynamic Socks and Associated Methods
The present disclosure relates to a dynamic sock, pantyhose, athletic pants/leggings or similar clothing, designed to increase propulsion or restrict motion in human gait as would be advantageous in athletic, lifestyle, medical or similar applications. Similarly, the described invention would be advantageous in sedentary applications to restrict joint angle for various pathologies. The exemplary sock includes an integrated propulsion/tension band with increased elastic/compression/tension capability at specific parts of the foot, ankle and lower leg to increase the tension at the dorsiflexion, midstance or plantarflexion phase of the gait cycle or restrict joint excursion in medical applications to thereby increase the rate, amount and force of plantarflexion or dorsiflexion or restrict motion in the sagittal, transverse or horizontal planes.
Multifunctional Mask
A multifunctional mask having a base covering that covers a wearer's oral and nasal areas, the mask having one or more of the following: one or more pockets located on the base covering for light cargo items; a drape covering the base providing additional protection; a drape extension attached to the drape capable of extending down from the base; an opening area having an opening sized for devices to be inserted in the wearer's mouth; a primary cover covering the opening area; a secondary cover overlapped by the primary cover covering the opening area; a base filter pocket and/or a drape filter pocket for filter materials; attachment slots for attaching the mask to other facial coverings; one or more headset holders for communication devices; and the base having a grid structure allowing air to flow easily through the base to an attached facial covering.
Articles of apparel providing enhanced body position feedback
Articles of apparel include: (a) a garment structure having one or more fabric elements structured and arranged to provide a close fit to at least one predetermined portion of a body (e.g., area(s) of the body for which enhanced position sensing and/or feedback are desired); and (b) a body position feedback system engaged with or integrally formed as part of the garment structure. The body position feedback system may apply higher tensile or constricting (compressive) forces to selected portions of the wearer's body and/or stretch resistance, which can help stimulate or interact with nerves and deep tissue receptors located in various portions of the body. The increased forces at selected locations of the body give the wearer sensory feedback regarding the position or orientation of these parts of the body and can improve or accelerate development of “muscle memory.”
Cycling jersey
A cycling garment, said garment being a jersey, a jacket or a vest having a structure realized with an outer fabric layer and further comprising an inner fabric layer having different breathability properties from the outer layer, wherein the inner layer is internally joined to the outer layer and forms an inner lining of at least part of said cycling garment.
SWIMWEAR
Swimwear is provided. The swimwear includes: at least one of a waist strap, a back fastener and a drawstring for providing tension at or above an iliac crest of a wearer; a first leg portion including at least a first longitudinal strap or stiffening member, the at least a first longitudinal strap or stiffening member extending from a first hip region of the wearer to a first lateral thigh region of the wearer and being coupled to the means for providing tension; and a second leg portion including at least a second longitudinal strap or stiffening member, the at least a second longitudinal strap or stiffening member extending from a second hip region of the wearer to a second lateral thigh region of the wearer and being coupled to the means for providing tension. The swimwear may be a jammer, a swimskin or a wetsuit.
SYSTEM TO DISSUADE FLYING, STINGING INSECTS
The invention includes a system for dissuading flying, stinging Insects that is economical and easy-to-carry; and methods of making and using said system. The system may comprise: a holding device; a head covering; a dispensing container; and a jumping jack.
Clothing
Clothing has a body including a front body and a back body, wherein a material constituting the front body and a material constituting the back body are the same, and a chest width of the back body is shorter than a chest width of the front body. The clothing guides a motion or state of the upper body of a wearer to a proper posture and improves motion followability and wearing comfort around scapulae.
