A throat guard has one or more insertion points which are received in openings or otherwise removably attached to a garment component. The insertion points can be upper horns and a lower section with the upper horns received in openings on the collar of the garment component and the lower section is received a central opening of the garment component. In an undeployed position the upper horns are released from collar of the garment component, but the throat guard remains attached to the garment component and available to be quickly secured around the throat area of the wearer.

An apparatus for an armor system includes a housing case, an interior ballistic panel, a frame, a power source, and a control unit. The housing case includes a top shell and a bottom shell, where the top shell is removably secured to the bottom shell, forming a cavity. The interior ballistic panel is removably arranged within the cavity between the top shell and the bottom shell. The frame is arranged within the cavity between the top shell and the interior ballistic panel, the frame including a compartment. The power source is arranged within the compartment of the frame, and the control unit is communicatively connected to the power source to manage operation of the power source.

Disclosed herein are novel personal pop-up pods designed for a single user. The personal pop-up pods can provide a user with privacy and/or protection from the surrounding elements. The personal pop-up pods are designed such that a user can remain mobile, i.e., able to move from one location to another while using a personal pop-up pod. An athletic garment has a garment body with a limb portion extending therefrom. A lateral sleeve is formed on the limb portion, the lateral sleeve having a first sheet and a second sheet that are connected together to form a strap channel that extends at least partially around the limb portion, and includes an opening through the lateral sleeve that allows access to the strap channel. A blood flow occlusion band includes an elongate strap that is fastened with a fastener, the elongate strap being positioned within the strap channel of the lateral sleeve, such that the fastener is positioned in the opening of the lateral sleeve of the garment.

A harness system for a clip. The clip has a base portion and a pair of elongated members, the elongated members folded over the base portion, thereby defining a gap configured to receive portions of a harness. The elongated members are separated from one another by a longitudinal opening for accommodating a rib between the portions of the harness. A gate is securably engaged to a first one of the elongated members and rotatable between an open position in which the gate does not obstruct said longitudinal opening and a closed position in which said gate obstructs said longitudinal opening. The harness is fashioned from a strip of webbing secured to a base along its midline and edges. The webbing thereby forms two pockets, each sized to accommodate one of the elongated members of the clip.

A protective garment containing a composite which has an alternating pattern containing groupings of woven fabric and groupings of biaxially oriented thermoplastic films. The composite has a thickness of greater than about 5 mm. Each grouping of woven fabric contains at least one woven fabric layer, each woven fabric layer containing tape elements having a base layer of a strain oriented olefin polymer disposed between covering layers of a heat fusible olefin polymer. Each grouping of biaxially oriented thermoplastic films contain at least one biaxially oriented thermoplastic film which has a core layer of thermoplastic disposed between covering layers of a thermoplastic able to bond to polypropylene.

The disposable portion incorporates therein a fluid channel comprising a chemical solution to detect seminal fluid present on the surface of the apparel. The chemical solution includes but not limited to 1-Naphthylphosphate (disodium salt); and prostate-specific antigen (PSA)(A67-B/E3).
