A thermosetting resin composition contains a solid epoxy resin that is solid at 25° C., a non-solid epoxy resin that is non-solid at 25° C., particulate rubber dispersed in the non-solid epoxy resin, a curing agent, an inorganic filler, and polycarbonate diol-derived polyurethane. The content of the particulate rubber is from 3 to 15 parts by mass with respect to the total parts by mass of the solid epoxy resin and the non-solid epoxy resin, the acid value of the polycarbonate diol-derived polyurethane is from 10 to 30 mgKOH/g, and the weight average molecular weight of the polycarbonate diol-derived polyurethane is from 15,000 to 50,000.

Polyether-modified polyisocyanate composition

The present invention relates to a polyether-modified polyisocyanate composition, which is obtainable by reacting a system containing the following components: a) a polyisocyanate having an isocyanate group functionality of 2-4.5; b) a polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol; and c) optionally a catalyst; the polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol has a number-average molecular weight of 900 g/mol-2000 g/mol and an oxypropylene group content of 45 wt. %-100 wt. %, relative to the total weight of the oxyalkylene group of the polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol; the system has an equivalent ratio of isocyanate group to hydroxyl group of 5:1-110:1; the polyisocyanate composition has the following characteristics: i) the average isocyanate functionality is 1.8-4.1; ii) the isocyanate group content is 8-20 wt. %; and iii) the amount of the polyoxyalkylene monoether structure is greater than 10 wt. % and less than 50 wt. %, for characteristics ii) and iii), relative to the total weight of the polyisocyanate composition.

COATING COMPOSITIONS

Disclosed herein is a composition comprising: an epoxy-containing component, elastomeric particles in an amount of greater than 11% by weight to 25% by weight based on total weight of the composition; and a curing component activatable by an external energy source, the curing component comprising at least one guanidine having a D90 particle size of 25 .Math.m measured by dynamic light scattering. Also disclosed is the composition in an at least partially cured state. Also disclosed is a method for treating a substrate comprising applying the composition to a surface of a substrate; and applying an external energy source to cure the composition. Also disclosed are substrates comprising the composition. Also disclosed are substrates formed by the method of the present invention.

Adhesive

Described herein is a two-part condensation curable adhesive composition suitable for adhering a front lens having an inner surface coated with an anti-haze coating to a lamp body to create a sealed lamp unit. In general, once cured in place, residual ingredients from the adhesive composition or by-products of cure reactions thereof do not visibly inhibit functionality of the anti-haze coating of the sealed lamp unit.

SILOXANE COMPOUND AND FORMULATIONS COMPRISING SAID COMPOUND

A siloxane compound is useful as a bonding agent in an adhesive formulation or sealant formation. A kit-of-parts can contain the siloxane compound. A corresponding method can be used to synthesize the siloxane agent.

A two-component silicone composition including a component (A) including at least one hydroxyl-terminated polydiorganosiloxane (P); preferably at least one filler; between 0.05% and 5.0% by weight of emulsified water, based on component (A); and a component (B) including at least one noncondensable polydiorganosiloxane (W) as a plasticizer; at least one organosilane (V) as a crosslinker; at least one catalyst (K) for the crosslinking of polydiorganosiloxanes; wherein all organosilanes (V) preferably have the same hydrolyzable alkoxysilane groups, preferably methoxysilane groups; and catalyst (K) is a tin complex having two mercaptide ligands of formula (V), where ligands (L.sup.1) are each independently alkyl mercaptides coordinated via sulfur, especially C.sub.6 to C.sub.16 alkyl mercaptides, where ligands (L.sup.1) optionally have methyldialkoxysilane groups, preferably methyldimethoxysilane groups, and ligands (L.sup.2) are each independently alkyl ligands, especially C.sub.6 to C.sub.14 alkyl ligands; and component (B) contains less than 5% by weight of carbon black based on component (B).

Flexibilizing capped prepolymers

A flexibilizing capped prepolymer can include a reaction product of reaction mixture including a polyisocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive component at an equivalent ratio of polyisocyanate equivalents to isocyanate-reactive component equivalents of from 1.4:1 to 2.1:1. The isocyanate-reactive component can include a polyol component and a branching agent component. The branching agent component can include a monoglyceride, a diglyceride, a triglyceride, or a combination thereof having a number average functionality of from 3 to 6 NCO-reactive functional groups. The reaction product is terminated with a capping agent to form the flexibilizing capped prepolymer.

An adhesive composition is provided. The adhesive composition comprises (A) an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate prepolymer which comprises the reaction product of at least one isocyanate monomer and at least one polyol selected from the group consisting of a polyester polyol, a polyether polyol and the combination thereof; and (B) a polyol component comprising at least one polyol selected from the group consisting of a polyester polyol, a polyether polyol, and the combination thereof, with the proviso that at least one of (A) and (B) further comprises at least one silane-containing polyol. Also provided are cured adhesive compositions, methods of producing cured laminates, the so produced cured laminates and use of a silane-containing polyol in such adhesive composition.
