Curable composition
Provided are curable compositions including a base part comprising an amine-reactive curable resin and a curative part comprising a polymeric toughener dissolved in an amine. The polymeric toughener, optionally a rubbery polymer or thermoplastic polymer, is solid at ambient conditions with a weight average molecular weight of at least 5,000 g/mol while the amine is a liquid at ambient conditions. The curable composition is cured by mixing the base and curative parts with each other. Hardened compositions obtained thereof can achieve increased toughener loading, resulting in high peel and shear strength performance over a wide range of temperatures, including at temperatures exceeding 180° F. (82° C.).
HAZE-FREE POLYURETHANE FORMULATIONS
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to haze-free polyurethane formulations, more particularly, to haze-free polyurethane formulations including tripropylene glycol (TPG) initiator polyol formed in the presence of a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst via a continuous process that can be utilized to form haze-free polyurethanes. As an example, a haze-free polyurethane formulation can include a TPG initiator polyol formed in the presence of a DMC catalyst via a continuous process, where the TPG pre-polymer is 30 to 45 percent by weight of the haze-free polyurethane formulation, an organic solvent present from 30 to 60 percent by weight of the haze-free polyurethane formulation, and a polyisocyanate, where the polyurethane formulation has an isocyanate index in a range from 70 to 500.
TWO-PACK CURABLE URETHANE ADHESIVE
The present invention aims to provide a two-component curable urethane adhesive that is easy to handle while it is substantially solvent-free, having weak to strong adhesive properties, and being capable of forming a cured film having excellent physical properties. The present invention provides a two-component curable urethane adhesive containing: a main agent; and a curing agent, the main agent containing at least one of a hydroxy group-containing urethane prepolymer (P1) or a polyol component (A), the hydroxy group-containing urethane prepolymer (P1) being a reaction product between the polyol component (A) and an organic polyisocyanate component (B), the curing agent containing at least one of an isocyanate group-containing urethane prepolymer (P2) or an organic polyisocyanate component (B), the isocyanate group-containing urethane prepolymer (P2) being a reaction product between the polyol component (A) and the organic polyisocyanate component (B), wherein the two-component curable urethane adhesive satisfies the following properties (1) to (5): (1) at least one of the polyol component (A) used in the hydroxy group-containing urethane prepolymer (P1) or the polyol component (A) used as the main agent contains a polyol (A1) having at least one of a group represented by a formula (1) or a group represented by a formula (2) at a molecular end thereof, and a total number of groups represented by the formula (1) in the polyol (A1) accounts for 40% or more based on a total number of groups represented by the formulas (1) and (2) in the polyol (A1); (2) an average total unsaturation degree of all the polyol components (A) used in the two-component curable urethane adhesive is 0.010 meq/g or less; (3) a weight average molecular weight of each of the urethane prepolymer (P1) and the urethane prepolymer (P2) is 1,000 to 100,000; (4) a chemical formula weight or number average molecular weight of each of the polyol component (A) and the organic polyisocyanate component (B) is 20,000 or less; and (5) a total weight of solvents in the main agent (excluding the polyol component (A)) and solvents in the curing agent (excluding the organic polyisocyanate component (B)) accounts for 5 wt % or less based on a total weight of the main agent and the curing agent,

wherein in the formulas (1) and (2), each a is independently an integer of 0 or greater.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive composition including (A) at least one isocyanate component and (B) at least one polyol component. The isocyanate component (A) comprises an isocyanate prepolymer that is the reaction product of (Ai) a polyisocyanate and (Aii) an isocyanate-reactive component; wherein the isocyanate-reactive component comprises (Aiia) at least one polyol having a functionality greater than two, (Aiib) at least one aromatic polyester polyol having a functionality of greater than two, and (Aiic) at least one hydrophobic polyol. The polyol component (B) comprises (Bi) at least one polyether polyol having a functionality greater than two, (Bii) at least one aromatic polyester polyol transesterified with a natural oil, and (Biii) at least one phosphate ester polyol. A method for forming a laminate is also disclosed, the method comprising the steps of: (I) mixing the above reactants (components (A) and (B)) to form a solventless adhesive composition, (II) applying a layer of the solventless adhesive composition to a surface of a first substrate, (III) bringing the layer of the solventless adhesive composition on the first substrate into contact with a surface of a second substrate to form a laminate, and (IV) curing the solventless adhesive composition. A laminate comprising the above solventless adhesive composition is also disclosed.

Moisture-curing compositions
A method for producing polyurethanes containing alkoxysilane groups comprises the step of reacting a compound containing at least one NCO group with a compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom in the presence of a catalyst component, wherein the compound containing at least one NCO group and/or the compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom contain at least one alkoxysilane group, to obtain a polyurethane containing alkoxysilane groups. The invention also relates to a polymer containing alkoxysilane groups, a method for producing a curable polymer, a curable polymer, a cured polymer, and the use thereof. The polymers contain a complex of a lanthanide with at least one beta-diketonate ligand, preferably Yb(acac).sub.3, and are free from organic tin compounds.
Curable two-component mass
The invention relates to a curable two- or multi-part composition with (a) optionally an at least bifunctional epoxy-containing compound; (b) an at least bifunctional nitrogen-based curing agent suitable for epoxy curing; (c) a radiation-curable hybrid compound having both one or more radiation-curable methacrylate groups and one or more epoxy groups; (d) a radical photoinitiator; (e) optionally an accelerator for epoxy curing, and (f) optionally further additives. In addition, the invention relates to a method for the bonding, casting, molding or coating of substrates using the composition.
DIMER FATTY ACID-POLYESTER DIOL-BASED POLYMER, CONTAINING ISOCYANATE GROUPS
A polyester urethane polymer containing isocyanate groups and being liquid at ambient temperature, obtained by reacting at least one monomeric diisocyanate and dimer fatty acid-based polyester diol having OH-number ranging between 28 and 120 mg KOH/g in NCO/OH ratio of at least 3/1, and by subsequently removing large part of monomeric diisocyanate by means of suitable separation process, wherein polymer has NCO content ranging between 1.5 and 6% by wt. and maximum monomeric diisocyanate content of 0.5% by wt. The polymer permits the production of moisture-curing polyurethane compositions for application in ambient temperatures, having improved properties in terms of open time, adhesion, application and weather resistance, with unchanged good properties of storage stability, curing rate, strength, ductility, elasticity and hazardous material classification. Compositions of this type are particularly suitable for use as elastic adhesives in replacement glass for vehicles.
TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION
A two-component polyurethane composition including a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component, wherein the polyol component comprises at least one polyester polyol A1 based on dimer fatty acids and/or dimer fatty alcohols having an OH number of 65-350 mg KOH/g, at least one polybutadiene polyol A2 and at least one alkoxylated alkylenediamine A3. The polyurethane composition has high strength and only a minor dependence of the mechanical properties, especially strength, on temperature, especially in the range from −40° C. to +100° C.
Radiation Curable Composition with Improved Mechanical Properties
The present disclosure relates to a radiation or radiation/moisture dual curable compositions based on (meth)acrylate polymers or (meth)acrylate- and silane-terminated polymers. The invention further relates to their use as an adhesive, sealant and/or coating material, and adhesive, sealant and/or coating materials comprising said curable composition thereof.
