The present invention is to provide a urethane adhesive composition which exhibits excellent heat-resistant adhesion after storage to resin. The present invention relates to a urethane adhesive composition including: a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group; an isocyanurate compound having an isocyanurate ring; a terpene compound having active hydrogen; and a vinyl silane coupling agent represented by Formula (A) below: (where in Formula (A), R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 each independently represent a monovalent hydrocarbon group, R.sup.2 represents a (n+1) valent hydrocarbon group, Vi represents —CH═CH.sub.2, m1 is from 1 to 3, m2 is from 1 to 3, m3 is from 0 to 2, m1+m2+m3 is 4, and n is 1 or greater). ##STR00001##
POLYUREA COATING SYSTEMS FOR CONSTRUCTION WATERPROOFING
The present invention relates to a 2K coating system consisting of two components (A) and (B) being separate from each other, wherein (A) comprises at least one constituent (a1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two primary and/or secondary amino groups, wherein (B) comprises at least one constituent (b1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two isocyanate groups, wherein each of (A) and (B) has a solid content of at least 95 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the respective component, the amount of any fillers present in component (A) does not exceed 45 wt.-%, based on the total weight of component (A), and constituent (b1) present in component (B) bears carbodiimide and/or uretonimine units as well as at least one structural unit (1), a coating composition obtainable by mixing components (A) and (B) of the inventive coating system, a use of said coating composition as sealant, in particular for providing a waterproof coating on a substrate, a method of applying the coating composition to a substrate and in particular a method of sealing a surface of a substrate such as concrete and/or steel, and a coated substrate such as a sealed concrete and/or steel substrate obtainable by this method.
POLYUREA COATING SYSTEMS AS SEALANTS FOR THE EXTERIOR OF FUEL TANKS
Disclosed herein is a 2K coating system consisting of two components (A) and (B) being separate from each other, where (A) includes at least one constituent (a1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two primary and/or secondary amino groups, where (B) includes at least one constituent (b1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two isocyanate groups, where each of (A) and (B) has a solid content of at least 95 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the respective component, and constituent (b1) present in component (B) bears carbodiimide and/or uretonimine units and at least one structural unit (I). Also disclosed herein are a coating composition obtainable by mixing components (A) and (B), a method of using said coating composition as sealant, a method of applying the coating composition to a substrate, and a sealed substrate.
PHOTOCURABLE SILICONE COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT THEREOF
A photocurable silicone composition is disclosed. A cured product of the composition is also disclosed, as well as methods of forming the same. The photocurable silicone composition comprises: (A) a specific organopolysiloxane having alkenyl groups in a molecule; (B) a compound having at least two thiol groups in a molecule; (C) a photoradical initiator having a phosphorus atom; and (D) a specific hydroxyphenyl triazine compound. The composition exhibits excellent curability by LED lamp with wide UV-Visible range as well as metal-halide lamp, and cures to form a cure product exhibiting excellent resistance to light.
Antifog sealant composition and coextruded multilayer polyester film including the same
The invention relates to a sealant antifog composition for polyester films comprising anionic and non-ionic surfactants in a mixture of amorphous and (semi)crystalline polyesters. The invention also relates to a multi-layer film comprising a sealant layer having the above composition, to the use of said films in food packaging and to the packages obtained therefrom.
POLYMER FOR INCREASING THE ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE OF A POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION
A poly(meth)acrylate urethane polymer, obtained from the reaction of at least one monomeric diisocyanate and a poly(meth)acrylate polyol having an OH number in the range from 50 to 200 mg KOH/g in an NCO/OH ratio of at least 3/1, followed by removal of a majority of the monomeric diisocyanate by means of a suitable separation method, wherein it has an NCO content in the range from 2.5% to 8% by weight, based on the poly(meth)acrylate urethane polymer, and a residual content of unconverted monomeric diisocyanates of not more than 0.5% by weight, and to the use thereof as additive and to moisture-curing polyurethane compositions.
Two-Part Compositions Including a Uretdione-Containing Material and Inorganic Filler, Products, and Methods
The present disclosure provides a two-part composition polymeric material including a first part and a second part. The first part includes an inorganic filler and a polymeric material including a polymerized reaction product of a polymerizable composition including components. The components include a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself; a first hydroxyl-containing compound; and an optional second hydroxyl-containing compound having a single OH group. The second part includes a polythiol having an average sulfhydryl group functionality of 2 or greater. Further, a method of adhering two substrates is provided, including obtaining a two-part composition; combining at least a portion of the first part with at least a portion of the second part to form a mixture; disposing at least a portion of the mixture on a first substrate; and contacting a second substrate with the mixture disposed on the first substrate. The disclosure also provides a polymerized product of the two-part composition and a battery module. Advantageously, two-part compositions can be used as coatings and adhesive systems including high loadings of inorganic filler, such as thermally conductive filler, with handling and performance similar to existing two-part urethane systems, but with less sensitivity to water.

The present invention relates to a curable resin composition, etc., having excellent in applicability and workability. Specifically, the present invention relates to a resin composition, etc., including: one or more base polymers selected from the group consisting of (A) a polymer having two or more alkenyl groups and (B) a polyorganosiloxane having a hydroxyl group bound to a silicon atom; (C) a silica powder surface-treated with an alkyl silane; and (D) a compound including one or more elements selected from the group consisting of boron, phosphorus, sulfur, and nitrogen.
Polymeric Material Including a Uretdione-Containing Material and Inorganic Filler, Two-Part Compositions, Products, and Methods
The present disclosure provides a polymeric material including a polymerized reaction product of a polymerizable composition including components and an inorganic filler. The components include a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself; a first hydroxyl-containing compound; and an optional second hydroxyl-containing compound having a single OH group. The present disclosure also provides a two-part composition, in which the polymeric material is included in the first part and the second part includes at least one amine. Further, a method of adhering two substrates is provided, including obtaining a two-part composition; combining at least a portion of the first part with at least a portion of the second part to form a mixture; disposing at least a portion of the mixture on a first substrate; and contacting a second substrate with the mixture disposed on the first substrate. The disclosure also provides a polymerized product of the two-part composition and a battery module. Advantageously, two-part compositions can be used as coatings and adhesive systems including high loadings of inorganic filler, such as thermally conductive filler, with handling and performance similar to existing two-part urethane systems, but with less sensitivity to water.

2) Process for preparing copolyurethane 1), comprising: (i) polyaddition between a polyisocyanate, a polyether diol and a carboxylic diol; (ii) neutralization of the product formed with the amine N(R)(R′)(R″); then (iii) reaction with an aminosilane derived from a secondary amine.
3) Composition, usable as sealant and/or adhesive, comprising copolyurethane 1) and a filler.
