SHAPE MEMORY POLYMER HYDROGELS FOR WOUND HEALING
A shape memory polymer hydrogel that is biodegradable, includes antimicrobial agents, and has a tunable drug delivery is used for wound healing internally and externally. The shape memory polymer is synthesized using a combination of hydrophilic precursors that are configured to have two to four functional end groups, with at least one component that has at least three functional groups. The synthesis route provides for a covalently crosslinked thermoset hydrogel. The chemistry can be tuned to provide desired transition temperatures for delivery (e.g. below 37° C.) and desired pore sizes for healing (e.g. 250-500 μm).
Multicolor paint composition

Silicone hydrogels comprising N-alkyl methacrylamides and contact lenses made thereof
The present invention relates to silicone hydrogels exhibiting desired combinations of physical and mechanical properties, formed from a reactive monomer mixture comprising at least one N-alkyl methacrylamide, and at least one silicone-containing component. These silicone hydrogels may also contain hydrophilic components, crosslinking agents and toughening monomers. These silicone hydrogels are useful in preparing biomedical devices, ophthalmic lenses, and contact lenses.
ACTINICALLY-CROSSLINKABLE POLYSILOXANE-POLYGLYCEROL BLOCK COPOLYMERS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USE THEREOF
Described herein are compositions comprising an actinically-crosslinkable polysiloxane-polyglycerol block copolymers, methods of making and use thereof, and devices comprising the compositions described herein. Disclosed herein are compositions comprising an actinically-crosslinkable polysiloxane-polyglycerol block copolymer derived from: a polysiloxane prepolymer comprising a polyglycerol side chain, the polyglycerol side chain comprising an ethylenically unsaturated group covalently linked thereto, wherein the ethylenically unsaturated group is actinically curable.
INSERT MATERIALS WITH HIGH OXYGEN PERMEABILITY AND HIGH REFRACTIVE INDEX
The invention is generally related to an insert for being embedded in a silicone hydrogel contact lens. The insert is made of a crosslinked materials which are rigid in dry state at room temperature (from about 22° C. to about 26° C.), have a high oxygen permeability and a high refractive index in fully hydrated state, and can become softer at a temperature great than 32° C. Such materials are useful for making inserts in embedded contact lenses for correcting corneal astigmatism, presbyopia, and color blindness lenses and for imparting photochromic characteristics to the lenses. The invention is also related to a method for making embedded silicone hydrogel contact lenses comprising an insert of the invention therein and to embedded silicone hydrogel contact lenses comprising an insert of the invention therein.
THERMORESPONSIVE FDM PRINTER FILAMENT FOR FORMING VASCULAR CHANNELS IN HYDROGELS
Provided arm biocompatible polymer compositions, and methods of printing such polymer compositions using a fused deposition modelling printer to form a solid scaffold. In particular, the disclosed compositions may include a thermoresponsive polymer, and the printed scaffold may be used as a sacrificial template providing a three-dimensional vascular structure upon temperature-dependent disintegration. The present compositions and methods may be particularly useful for engineering thick tissues.
HIGH REFRACTIVE INDEX SILOXANE INSERT MATERIALS FOR EMBEDDED CONTACT LENSES
The invention is generally related to an insert for being embedded in a silicone hydrogel contact lens. The insert is made of a crosslinked materials which are rigid in dry state at room temperature (from about 22° C. to about 26° C.), have a high oxygen permeability and a high refractive index in fully hydrated state. Such materials are useful for making inserts in embedded contact lenses for correcting corneal astigmatism, presbyopia, and color blindness lenses and for imparting photochromic characteristics to the lenses.
