Polyurethane filled tires
Polyurethane elastomeric compositions for making tires, methods for making said tires and tires made of said polyurethane elastomers. Said tires are in particular suitable for use as tires for low speed vehicles such as bicycle tires.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a pneumatic tire which exhibits a superior balance between satisfactory low-hysteresis loss properties and good steering stability. The present disclosure achieves the object by a pneumatic tire having a bead filler (7) in a bead portion (1) thereof, wherein: the bead filler (7) is composed of a thermosetting resin or a thermosetting elastomer having a Young's modulus in the range of 50 MPa to 300 MPa.
Tire
A tire including a tire frame that is formed of a resin material and has a circular form, the resin material including a thermoplastic elastomer having a hard segment and a soft segment, and a polymer compound that has the same structural unit as the structural unit of the soft segment and which is different from the thermoplastic elastomer, a content of the polymer compound in the tire frame being from 0.20 parts by mass to 2.5 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic elastomer contained in the tire frame.
Tire
A tire including a tire skeleton body that is made of a resin material containing a polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer and has a ring shape, wherein the polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer includes a hard segment, a soft segment consisting of a constituent unit derived from polypropylene glycol, and a binding portion that binds two or more segments and that consists of a constituent unit derived from a dicarboxylic acid of from 6 to 20 carbons, the polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of from 20,000 to 250,000.
VALVE STEM MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a tire valve, in particular a bicycle tire valve, comprising a tubular stem, where the stem consists of a composition (Z1) comprising a thermoplastic (P1) and comprising a filler (F1), and also to a valve stem for the production of a tire valve, where the valve stem is tubular and consists of a composition (Z1) comprising a thermoplastic (P1) and comprising a filler (F1). The present invention further relates to the use of the valve of the invention for the production of a molding comprising an inflatable tube section, in particular an inner tube for a tire, and also to the use of the valve of the invention for the production of a tubeless bicycle tire.
Tire, the inner wall of which has a layer of specific polyurethane foam
The inner wall of a pneumatic tyre, in the vulcanized state, is provided with a layer of polyurethane foam, characterized in that the polyurethane is based on a diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), in particular 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, and on a polyol having an ethylene oxide content of greater than 50% (% by weight). This specific polyurethane formulation makes it possible to obtain a light foam that efficiently absorbs noise; it has the advantages of being simple and inexpensive and of being easy to process by direct casting of the reactants in the pneumatic tyre of the invention.
Tire
There is provided a tire comprising a tire frame that is formed of a resin material and has a circular form, wherein the resin material comprises a thermoplastic elastomer having a structure including a hard segment (HS) and a soft segment (SS), which repeat alternately, in which a number of repeating units in one molecular chain is from 2 to 10, each of the repeating units being a pair of the hard segment (HS) and the soft segment (SS), the thermoplastic elastomer having a number average molecular weight of from 45,000 to 160,000.
Tire
There is provided a tire including a tire frame that is formed of a resin material and has a circular form, wherein the resin material includes a thermoplastic elastomer having a hard segment (HS) and a soft segment (SS), in which only one unit of the soft segment (SS) is included in a single molecular chain, and both terminals of the single molecular chain are formed by the hard segment (HS), the thermoplastic elastomer having a number average molecular weight of from 12,000 to 24,000.
Tire
A tire containing at least a circular tire frame body that is formed from a resin material and has a layered structure, wherein the tire frame body includes at least one gas retaining layer.
Adhesive systems for preparing composites of rubber and polar thermosets
An adhered composite includes (i) a polar thermoset substrate; (ii) optionally a primer layer disposed on the polar thermoset substrate; (iii) a first adhesive layer adhesively mated to the polar thermoset substrate, optionally with the primer layer disposed between the first adhesive layer and the polar thermoset substrate; (iv) a first layer of cured non-polar rubber adhesively mated to the first adhesive layer; (v) a second adhesive layer adhesively mated to the first layer of cured non-polar rubber; and (vi) a second layer of cured non-polar rubber forming an outer surface of the composite.
