Composite foam article
A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a surface layer and a base layer with an interface therebetween. The surface layer comprises a high-resiliency polyurethane foam having an impact resilience of greater than about 50% when tested in accordance with ASTM D3574-17, and presents a seating surface. The base layer comprises a viscoelastic polyurethane foam having an impact resilience of less than about 50% when tested in accordance with ASTM D3574-17, and presents a mounting surface opposite the seating surface. The surface layer and the base layer are present in a thickness ratio of from about 17:3 to about 2:3.

Polyol premixes, thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams and methods for their production
Polyol premixes and thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams, such as those that can be used as a thermal insulation medium in the construction of refrigerated storage devices, are disclosed. A polymer polyol having a OH number of greater than 260 mg KOH/g is utilized. The resulting polyurethane foams can exhibit improved thermal insulation properties without sacrificing other important physical and processing properties.

A method may include processing a crosslinked polymer and a catalyst to form a vitrimer during a melt processing operation, the crosslinked polymer comprising at least one monomer selected from a vinyl ester, a C2-C12 olefin, and combinations thereof. A method may include mixing a crosslinked polymer, a catalyst, and a non-crosslinked polymer at a temperature higher than a processing temperature of the non-crosslinked polymer to form a polymer composition; wherein each of the crosslinked polymer and the non-crosslinked polymer comprise at least one monomer selected from a vinyl ester, a C2-C12 olefin, and combinations thereof, and wherein the crosslinked polymer is present in an amount that is at least 15 wt %, relative to the combined total of crosslinked polymer and non-crosslinked polymer.
