The present invention relates to bead foams made of thermoplastic polyurethane and polystyrene produced moldings, to processes for the production of the bead foams and moldings, and also to the use of the moldings for shoe intermediate soles, shoe insoles, shoe combisoles, or cushioning elements for shoes.
Polymer composition based on thermoplastic copolyester elastomer, manufactured article made with such polymer composition and production process of such polymer composition
The invention relates to a polymer composition based on thermoplastic copolyester elastomer comprising: —from 90% to 70% by weight of the thermoplastic copolyester elastomer containing ester and ether bonds; —from 5% to 25% by weight of one or more saturated esters with a molecular weight between about 200 and 1,000, and preferably between 300 and 380; —from 2 to 10% by weight of expanding additives. This invention also covers a manufactured article obtained by injection moulding a predefined amount of the polymer composition according to this invention, as well as a production process of such polymer composition.
FOAM MATERIAL COMPRISING POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE POLYMER (PPS)
The invention relates to a foam material (FP) comprising a polymer composition (C) comprising at least a polyphenylene sulfide polymer (PPS) and at least one functionalized elastomer (E). The present invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of said foam material and to an article (A) including said foam material (FP), for example a composite material.
Foam molding resin and method for manufacturing foam molded article
It is an object of the present invention to provide a foam molding resin containing LDPE capable of enhancing foaming magnification. According to the present invention, there is provided a foam molding resin containing low-density polyethylene, wherein the low-density polyethylene has a melt tension of 100 to 250 mN and a shear viscosity of 350 to 450 Pa.Math.s.
FOAM COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment are provided including a foam. A variety of foams and foam components and compositions for forming the foams are provided. In some aspects, the foams and components including the foams can have exceptionally high energy return while also having improved durability and softness. In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING LAYERED FOAMED POLYMERIC MATERIALS
The present invention concerns layered foamed polymeric materials lacking discontinuities at the interface between the layers and a preparation process thereof comprising the following steps: —providing a foamable polymeric material; —solubilising said one or more foaming agents in the foamable polymeric material under pressure and at a temperature greater than 20° C.; and —releasing the pressure instantaneously; where the solubilisation step is carried out with a pressure profile of said one or more foaming agents that is variable over time.
POLYOL PREMIXES, THERMALLY INSULATING RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAMS AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
Polyol premixes and thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams, such as those that can be used as a thermal insulation medium in the construction of refrigerated storage devices, are disclosed. A polymer polyol having a OH number of greater than 260 mg KOH/g is utilized. The resulting polyurethane foams can exhibit improved thermal insulation properties without sacrificing other important physical and processing properties.
Cushion material, seat cushion material, and seat
Provided is a foamed urethane containing a cushion material, the foamed urethane containing a hard segment and a soft segment, in which the foamed urethane is a reaction cured product formed using an isocyanate component of an MDI compound. In a first aspect, a spin-spin relaxation time (T2) of the hard segment in the foamed urethane is from 20 μsec to 40 μsec, and a volume abundance ratio of the hard segment is from 5% to 40%. In a second aspect, a foamed urethane includes: a first region in which T2 of the hard segment is from 30 μsec to 40 μsec, and a volume abundance ratio of the hard segment is from 10% to 40%, and a second region in which T2 of the hard segment is from 20 μsec to less than 30 μsec, and a volume abundance ratio of the hard segment is from 5% to 40% in a H.sup.1 solid-state pulse NMR measurement, and which is adjacent to the first region.
MOLDED FOAM OF ESTER-BASED ELASTOMER, USES THEREOF, AND EXPANDED BEADS OF ESTER-BASED ELASTOMER
An ester-based elastomer expanded molded article comprising a fusion of expanded particles that contain an ester-based elastomer as a base resin.
Production of a PMMA foam using cross-linking agents, regulators and blowing agents
The present invention relates to novel types of PMMA foams and also to the production thereof. The recipes used in the production process include particularly crosslinkers and chain transfer agents as recipe constituents, mostly in low concentrations, in addition to suitable blowing agents. It was found that, surprisingly, the invention provides a simple-to-produce stable PMMA foam having very good properties.
