The present disclosure relates to a portable attachment and communication system that enable a desired image to be displayed with flexibility and lower power consumption in an article worn or carried by a human.

The portable attachment is an article including a display body made of an electrophoretic display, the article being carried or worn by a user. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a portable attachment, etc. Examples of the portable attachment carried by a user are a bag, a wallet, a key holder, etc. Examples of the portable attachment worn by the user are a hair accessory, a tie, a watch, clothing, etc.

A necktie system includes a necktie that may be worn around a neck of a user. A first fastener is attached to the necktie and a pair of cups is provided. Each of the cups is matable such that the pair of cups forms a housing. The housing has the necktie extended therethrough such that the housing retains the necktie around the user's neck. A second fastener is attached to the one of the cups. The first fastener removably engages the second fastener such that the housing is retained in the necktie.

The cover is sized and shaped to hide the knot of the necktie from view while the tie is being worn. Winged portions of the cover tuck under the edges of the collar of the shirt. The tail end of the tie extends below the lower edge of the decorative cover down the front of the shirt as typical. The mechanism for attachment of the cover to the knot includes a closeable clasp secured on the back of the cover that extends up from the base of the cover to engage the fabric material making up the front of the necktie knot. The top-opening clasp is slid up around the fabric knot front piece and is then closed to secure the cover and restrict its movement.

Disclosed is a necktie including a shell forming an exterior surface of the necktie, an interlining positioned within the shell, a magnet, and a flexible magnetic member. The shell includes a first blade portion and a first tail portion, and the interlining includes a second blade portion and a second tail portion that aligns with the first blade portion and the second blade portion, respectively. The magnet is affixed to a tip of the second tail portion, and the flexible magnetic member is affixed along a length of the second blade portion. When worn, the magnet is magnetically attracted to the flexible magnetic member, securing the first blade portion to the first tail portion.
