VERY SOFT EVA FOAM AND METHODS THEREOF
A polymer composition may include an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymer at an amount ranging from 10 to 90 phr; an elastomeric EVA composition at an amount ranging from 10 to 90 phr; a plasticizer at an amount ranging from 5 to 40 phr; a blowing agent in an amount ranging from 2 to 10 phr; and a peroxide in an amount ranging from 0.3 to 4 phr.
WATER-BASED HYDROGEL BLEND COATING AND METHOD OF APPLICATION TO ELASTOMERIC ARTICLES
A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. The water-based hydrogel polymer blend composition is applied in a single application to an elastomeric article, such as gloves, without additional solvents in the polymer blend composition and without a separate acid or chemical priming step. The water-based hydrogel coating herein provides increased lubricity to facilitate improved wet and dry donning of the elastomeric article.
STUDLESS WINTER TIRE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The present invention provides a studless winter tire having excellent performance on ice. The present invention relates to a studless winter tire including a tread formed from a rubber vulcanizate, the rubber vulcanizate containing a rubber component, and a short fiber with a degree of fibrillation of 50 to 95%.
Systems and methods for the management of waste associated with processing guayule shrubs to extract rubber
Systems and methods for managing the waste associated with the extraction of rubber from guayule shrubs are provided. Also provided is a portable local sub-station for reducing the transportation costs associated with the processing of guayule shrubs for the extraction of rubber. Use of the disclosed systems, methods and/or local sub-station can reduce transportation costs, reduce processing costs and reduce the downstream processing complexity associated with the extraction of rubber from guayule shrubs.
Refresh Agent
A coated rubber composition includes a rubber composition coated with a liquid refresh agent selected from the group consisting of one or more liquid terpenes, limonene, carvone, pinene, pine needle oil, citral, orange oil, C.sub.9-C.sub.15 aliphatics, C.sub.9-C.sub.15 cycloaliphatics, ethyl lactate, dipentene, 1,8-cineole, eucalyptol, citronellol, geraniol, citronellene, terpinen-4-ol, and combinations thereof. A method of application and a coated rubber composition are also disclosed.
Formation and properties of cellular foam fibrous material
A foaming process for converting fibrous material into a cellular foam structure includes mixing fibrous material and a solvent-based binding agent to form a mixture; saturating the mixture with a pressurized gas to form a gas-saturated mixture; expanding the gas-saturated mixture by reducing the pressure of the pressurized gas to form an expanded mixture with voids in the fibrous material; and curing the expanded mixture to set the fibrous material and drive off the solvent to provide a stable network of fibrous material having cushioning properties.
INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
Preparation method of scribing rubber cement of tire tread
The present invention discloses a preparation method of scribing rubber cement of a tire tread. The scribing rubber cement of the tire tread is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of natural rubber; 3.5 to 4.5 parts of zinc oxide; 1.5 to 2.5 parts of stearic acid; 15 to 25 parts of titanium white; 2.5 to 3.5 parts of insoluble sulfur; 0.9 to 1.1 parts of accelerant DM; 0.9 to 1.1 parts of rosin; and 15 to 25 parts of color masterbatch. The preparation method of the scribing rubber cement comprises the following steps: step 1) preparing rubber compound; and step 2) preparing the scribing rubber cement. The scribing rubber cement of the tire tread prepared by the present invention has high aesthetic degree and does not influence the product quality.
PROCESS FOR REGENERATING A MONOLITHIC, MACRO-STRUCTURAL, INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK MORPHOLOGY FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
