HYDROPHILIC POLYMER COATINGS WITH DURABLE LUBRICITY AND COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS THEREOF
The invention provides a novel hydrophilic polymer and latex polymer blend coating formulation and compositions thereof, and their use on various devices (e.g., prophylactic and medical devices) to form hydrophilic and flexible coatings with durable lubricity.
Glove coating and manufacturing process
This invention relates to an elastomeric article with improved lubricity and donnablity and reduced stickiness/tackiness. According to the methods of the invention, the internal surface of the elastomeric article is coated with a polyisoprene coating. The coating of the invention is formed from synthetic polyisoprene rubber that may or may not contain minor amounts of other components. The coating is preferably directly bonded to the underlying elastomeric article.
GRAPHENE COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
Provided herein is a composite material, and a method of producing the composite material. The method of producing the composite material includes providing a first material comprising turbostratic graphene, providing a second material comprising rubber, mixing the first material and the second material, and producing a turbostratic graphene rubber composite.
FOAMED SEALING COMPOUNDS
A polymer based sealing compound which is foamed, which is applied to vehicle tyres for the reduction in weight and improvement of driving dynamics, a process for producing such foamed sealing compounds, and the use thereof in tyres.
INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
Processes For The Removal Of Rubber From Non-Hevea Plants
Provided herein are organic solvent-based processes for the removal of rubber from non-Hevea plants such as guayule shrubs. By the use of the processes, solid purified rubber can be obtained that contains 0.05-0.5 weight % dirt, 0.2-1.5 weight % ash, and 0.1-4 weight % resin (when it has been dried so as to contain 0.8 weight % volatile matter).
SPREADABLE GRANULES, USE OF SAME AND GRASS LAWN OR ARTIFICIAL GRASS LAWN WITH SUCH SPREADABLE GRANULES AS INFILL GRANULES
Spreadable granules as infill granules for grass and artificial turf fields are proposed, which granules have a polymer matrix with a percentage between 10% by mass and 100% by mass of at least one biodegradable polymer and at least one filler from the group of natural fillers, embedded in the polymer matrix with the at least one biodegradable polymer. The invention provides for the spreadable granules to have at least one filler from the group including comminuted fruit kernels. In addition, the invention relates to the use of such spreadable granules as infill granules for grass and artificial turf fields, as a spacer material for the storage of construction materials, such as, e.g., floor covering materials, and as grit for road maintenance in winter.
Polymer-filler composites with guayule rubber
A method for forming a polymer-filler composite having advantageous bound filler content, the method comprising (a) providing a guayule cement; (b) introducing particulate filler to the guayule cement to form a solution masterbatch; and (c) desolventizing the solution masterbatch to form a polymer-filler composite.
Foam and Solid Recycled Rubber Compositions and Methods for and Products Constructed From the Same
A foam rubber composition includes a base recycled vulcanized rubber; one or more foaming agents; and one or more processing aids, such as a curative, an accelerator, an activator, a fatty acid, a reodorant, a non-recycled elastomer, or combinations thereof. Products are constructed from the foam rubber composition for different applications. A solid rubber composition includes a base recycled vulcanized rubber and one or more processing aids, such as a curative, an accelerator, an activator, a fatty acid, a reodorant, a non-recycled elastomer, or combinations thereof. Products are constructed from the solid rubber composition for different applications.
METHOD FOR FORMING RUBBER COMPOSITION
A rubber composition is disclosed and more particularly, a rubber composition having low uncured viscosity for better green rubber handling and high cured cohesiveness desired cured article properties, methods for making them and articles made from such rubber compositions. Particularly the invention uses 3-hydroxydiphenylamime or 4-hydroxydiphenylamine or their combinations in a rubber composition yielding a rubber composition having a low uncured viscosity for rubber processing and a high cured cohesion and rigidity for the cured rubber product. Such a composition is particularly suitable for rubber applications including tires.
