The cord (50) has: an endurance criterion SL≤40 000 MPa.Math.mm with
Elastomer formulation using a combination of polymers to create ozone resistance without addition of wax
A shaped article is formed from a cured rubber composition comprising EPDM and a diene rubber. The shaped article exhibits a coefficient of friction greater than 0.1.
Process for treating dregs, treated dregs, use thereof, process for vulcanizing rubber, and vulcanized rubber
Provided herein is a process for treating dregs for the application thereof as vulcanization activator of rubbers, putting an end to this residue generated in the cellulose industry and providing vulcanized rubbers with similar or enhanced properties in relation to those already known. The process for treating dregs includes the steps of: (a) drying the dregs; and (b) micronization of the dry dregs to an average particle size (d50) from 2 to 45 micrometers. Further provided herein are treated dregs, a use of treated dregs as vulcanization activator, and a process for vulcanizing rubber and the vulcanized rubber.

Curative
A coating created entirely from plant-derived ingredients is disclosed. Illustrative embodiments of the coating may be particularly well suited for use on leather-like materials created from epoxidized natural rubber-based formulations. Illustrative embodiments of the coating created may be comprised of substantially the reaction product between epoxidized vegetable oil and a polyfunctional naturally occurring acid (such as citric acid). Illustrative embodiments this reaction product may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.
PROCESS FOR MODIFYING THE SURFACE POLARITY OF RUBBER SUBSTRATES
The present invention relates to a process for modifying the surface polarity of elastomeric rubber substrates to facilitate their cold bonding to other rubber substrates or non-elastomeric substrates of a different material, preferably metal, by chlorinating the elastomeric rubber substrate surface by treatment with a chloride-containing composition and a peroxymonosulfate-containing composition. Further aspects relate to the thus-obtained surface-modified rubber substrates, processes of bonding them to other substrates by use of an adhesive, as well as the thus-obtained bonded substrates.
TIRE
An object of the present disclosure is to improve, in a tire having a composite body of a member composed of a polyester material and a member composed of a rubber material, adhesion between the two members. In order to achieve the object, the present disclosure provides a tire having a composite body, wherein the composite body comprises: a member composed of a polyester material; a member composed of a rubber material; and an adhesive layer composed of a urethane-based adhesive or an epoxy-based adhesive and provided between the member composed of a polyester material and the member composed of a rubber material.
HIGH STIFFNESS RUBBER COMPOSITION
The rubber composition comprises at least one resin based: (A1) on at least one aromatic compound comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two functional groups, one of these functional groups being a hydroxymethyl functional group and the other being an aldehyde functional group or a hydroxymethyl functional group; and (A2) on at least one phenolic compound chosen from (A21) at least one aromatic polyphenol comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two hydroxyl functional groups in the meta position with respect to one another, the two positions ortho to at least one of the hydroxyl functional groups being unsubstituted; and/or (A22) at least one aromatic monophenol comprising at least one six-membered aromatic ring bearing a single hydroxyl functional group, the two positions ortho to the hydroxyl functional group being unsubstituted or at least one position ortho to and the position para to the hydroxyl functional group being unsubstituted; and their mixtures.
METHOD FOR GRANTING TO ORGANIC POLYMERS THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING DETECTED
The present invention relates to a novel method for conferring to thermoplastic, thermostable polymers or elastomers, magnetic, electromagnetic, electrical, X-ray shielding or density properties that allow the detection of said polymers by means of specific equipment that exists in the prior art. The detection of the thermoplastic polymers, thermostable polymers or elastomers in turn facilitates their location, removal or separation. The method is based on the addition of specific iron and silicon alloys with or without surface treatment.
Sheet, method for manufacturing the same, and tire comprising the same
Provided are a sheet, a method of its preparation, and a tire comprising the sheet, wherein the sheet comprises tire cords, a topping rubber for topping the tire cords, and a conductive fiber located on the surface of the topping rubber. The sheet can provide tires, on which a rubber composition with a low electricity-transmitting property and low rolling resistance is applied, with excellent conductivity.
