Modified polymers and stable emulsions comprising the same
A modified polymer includes a diene-based polymeric chain and at least one end terminated with a blocked isocyanate group. The blocked isocyanate group may be the reaction product of an isocyanate and a blocking agent, and the blocking agent is selected, such that the modified polymer deblocks at temperatures of at least 100 C. An aqueous emulsion of the modified polymer may be provided that may be surfactant-free. The emulsion may be combined with one or more latexes to provide a treatment solution for a fabric or fiber that does not require the use of resorcinol and formaldehyde. Once treated and dried, the fabric or fiber may be used to impart tensile strength to rubber products, such as tires, air springs, flexible couplings, power transmission belts, conveyor belts, and fluid routing hoses.
LATEX COMPOSITION
A latex composition contains a carboxy-modified conjugated diene polymer latex, a xanthogen compound, and a metal oxide.
FOAMED SEALING COMPOUNDS
A polymer based sealing compound which is foamed, which is applied to vehicle tyres for the reduction in weight and improvement of driving dynamics, a process for producing such foamed sealing compounds, and the use thereof in tyres.
Rubber-reinforcing cord and rubber product using same
A rubber-reinforcing cord of the present invention is a rubber-reinforcing cord for reinforcing a rubber product. The rubber-reinforcing cord includes at least one strand. The strand includes at least one filament bundle and a coating provided to cover at least a portion of a surface of the filament bundle. The coating includes a rubber component and a crosslinking agent. The crosslinking agent includes two or more isocyanate compounds.
Foam and method for producing same
[Problem] An object of the present invention is to provide a foam including a thermoplastic resin and rubber as a main component, in which a micronized product of a cellulose fiber is uniformly dispersed, and uniformity and mechanical properties are excellent. [Solution] A foam includes a modified cellulose fiber (A) covalently bonded with a diene-based polymer, a thermoplastic resin and/or rubber (B), and a diene-based polymer (C) having a functional group capable of covalently bonding with a cellulose fiber, in which the fiber (A) is micronized, the fiber (A) has a content of 0.05 to 20% by mass, and the thermoplastic resin and/or rubber (B) has a glass transition point of ?130? C. to 120? C.
Latex composition
A latex composition contains a carboxy-modified conjugated diene polymer latex, a xanthogen compound, and a metal oxide.
Process for preparing vulcanized rubber composition, vulcanized rubber composition and studless tire using same
According to the process for preparing a vulcanized rubber composition of the invention comprising (a) a step of preparing a master batch comprising a modified conjugated diene polymer and silica, (b) a step of preparing a master batch comprising an isoprene rubber and silica, (c) a step of kneading the master batch obtained in (a) and the master batch obtained in (b), and (d) a step of vulcanizing a kneaded product obtained in (c), wherein the obtained vulcanized rubber composition comprises a phase A comprising a modified conjugated diene polymer and a phase B comprising an isoprene rubber, which are incompatible with each other, an abundance ratio of silica in the phase A satisfies 0.50.9 (Relation 1), and a proportion of the modified conjugated diene polymer satisfies 0.40.8 (Relation 2) it is possible to improve performance on ice and abrasion resistance and to provide a vulcanized rubber composition having excellent performance on ice and abrasion resistance, and a studless tire with a tread made using the same.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin composition and application thereof, said thermosetting resin composition comprising: A: a styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer having a star-shaped structure; B: a linear olefin resin containing 1,2-ethylene, and a modifier thereof, C: at least one resin or small molecule compound substituted with an acrylic group; taking the total mass of component A, component B, and component C as 100%, the added amount of said component A is 3%-85%, the added amount of said component B is 10%-95%, and the added amount of said component C is 1%-70%. The resin composition provided by the present invention does not undergo phase separation under initiator conditions, and has high heat resistance and a relatively low dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent value, and is capable of providing the desired dielectric properties and thermal reliability of a copper-clad plate.
CURATIVE
A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.
