APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DE-VULCANISATION OF RUBBER
The invention provides an apparatus for de-vulcanisation of rubber from a rubber component, preferably a rubber tire. The apparatus comprises a cleaning device configured to clean and/or sanitize the rubber and a mixing device having at least one rotor configured to de-vulcanise the cleaned and/or sanitized rubber.
Filled polymeric resin materials and methods of making
The present disclosure provides for articles formed of a filled polymeric resin material. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to polymeric resin materials that include a filler that includes of a mixture of cured rubber granules, foam granules, and/or textile fibers. The filler can be suspended in and/or encapsulated by the polymeric resin material. The polymeric resin material, the filler, or both can include waste or scrap material from manufacturing or from ground post-consumer waste.
DEVULCANIZED RUBBER, RUBBER COMPOSITION, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE
The present invention relates to a devulcanized rubber obtained by mixing a devulcanizing agent having an alkylsulfonamide group and a vulcanized rubber. The devulcanizing agent preferably contains a sulfonamide compound of an alkylamine having 12 or more carbon atoms. The present invention also relates to a rubber composition comprising the devulcanized rubber. The rubber composition preferably contains 1 to 30 parts by mass of the devulcanized rubber per 100 parts by mass of a total amount of an unvulcanized rubber component in the rubber composition.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL FROM WASTE AND AT LEAST ONE ELEMENT OF VULCANIZED RUBBER AND TIRE CORDS
The subject matter discloses a composite material comprising a first component and a second component, the first component comprising an organic element and a thermoplastic element and the second component comprising at least one element selected from the group consisting of vulcanized rubber and tire cords. The subject matter further discloses a process comprising mixing while heating under shear forces a first component comprising organic waste and thermoplastic waste with a second component comprising at least one element selected from the group consisting of vulcanized rubber and tire cords; to obtain a melt; processing the melt, the processing comprises at least cooling the melt to obtain a composite material comprising: organic element; thermoplastic element; and at least one element selected from the group consisting of vulcanized rubber and tire cords.
INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY AND DEVULCANIZATION OF CROSS-LINKED RUBBER
A process for recovery and devulcanization of vulcanized rubber is provided. The process takes place in a plant including a mill for grinding vulcanized rubber into particles, a twin-screw extruder provided with a device for forced feeding of vulcanized rubber particles and a thermostatting device, a single-screw extruder arranged downstream of the twin-screw extruder and equipped with a thermostatting device, a filter for devulcanized rubber and an extrusion die shaped like a slot, from the which devulcanized rubber comes out in the form of a strip or sheet, and a cooling device for the devulcanized rubber strip or sheet. The twin-screw extruder operates at a temperature between 35 and 450° C., with a rotation speed of the screws between 15 and 600 rpm, and a torque density between 11 and 18 Nm/cm.sup.3, so that the shear rate remains constant for the entire longitudinal extension of the twin-screw extruder.
Method of continuous preparation of reclaimed rubber using multi-stage screw extruders
The invention relates to a method of preparing reclaimed rubber, especially using multi-stage screw extruders, which belongs to the field of recycling and reusing of waste rubber. The rubber powder and softener which were preliminarily mixed are compacted and added into first counter rotating twin screw extruder through thermal insulation and metering apparatus, the softener permeates the waste rubber powder uniformly under the action of temperature in the extruder to finish primary desulfurization of rubber waste powder; add preliminary devulcanized material continuously into second multi screw extruder after cooling by transformation device, rapid desulfurization and regeneration can be achieved by means of activator and shear action; The desulfurized rubber powder is cooled and transported into the third multi-screw extruder in series, the performance of deprocessing can be improved by shear action under low temperature; After extrusion, the recycled rubber is obtained by molding device and cooling device. The whole process is completed under closed oxygen isolation condition, realizing safe, simple and continuous desulfurization regeneration. It is energy saving and environmental protection with excellent properties.
Extraction of harmful compounds from materials containing such harmful compounds
A composition and method for extracting, recovering, removing, and/or reducing at least one harmful compound selected from a harmful polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), bisphenol A (BPA), a harmful phthalate, a harmful polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), a harmful dioxin, a harmful hexachlorobenzene, or a harmful organotin from a harmful compound-containing material using harmful compound-extracting composition comprising a turpentine fluid.
