EXPANDED RUBBER ARTICLES
Expanded rubber articles and processes for making such, comprising: partially curing an expandable rubber formulation by heating it in a first mould cavity to form a moulded blank; releasing the moulded blank from the first mould cavity and allowing the moulded blank to expand to form an expanded moulded blank; and further curing and expanding the expanded moulded blank by heating it to form the expanded rubber article comprising an expanded rubber part, wherein the expanded moulded blank is heated in a second mould cavity. Optionally, the expanded moulded blank is contacted with a further rubber formulation and a substrate comprising a base material and an elastomer bonding layer in the second mould cavity to form an expanded rubber article additionally comprising a solid rubber part and a substrate.
METHOD FOR RECYCLING RUBBER UTILIZING A LABYRINTHINE MATERIAL
A method for recycling a vulcanized rubber compound. The method includes the steps of grinding recycled rubber compound into a plurality of ground rubber particles, adding a suitable amount of labyrinthine or barrier forming material to a fresh rubber compound, mixing the plurality of ground rubber particles with the fresh rubber compound containing the labyrinthine material, and co-vulcanizing the mixture of the plurality of ground rubber particles with the fresh rubber compound containing the labyrinthine material.
Chemically functionalized renewed rubber composition
The renewed rubber of this invention can be used in rubber formulations that are used in manufacturing a wide array of rubber products, including tires, power transmission belts, conveyor belts, hoses, and a wide array of other products. The present invention more specifically discloses a method for manufacturing an environmentally friendly, chemically functionalized, renewed rubber composition having a highly desirable combination of physical properties and which exhibits excellent processability comprising the steps of (1) blending a micronized rubber powder with a processing aid and a chemical functionalizing agent to produce a blended mixture; (2) processing the blended mixture under conditions of high shear and low temperature to produce a reacted mixture; (3) adding a stabilizer to the reacted mixture to produce the chemically functionalized renewed rubber composition.
Water based urethane as predip for carbon fiber cord
Methods of manufacturing a belt include laying up a first elastomeric layer of a belt build on a mandrel, laying up a tensile reinforcement layer on the first elastomeric layer, where the tensile reinforcement layer contains cords coated with a water based urethane compound, and laying up a second elastomeric layer on the first elastomeric layer and the tensile reinforcement layer. The belt build may be cured in a profile-forming mold, and afterward, cut to a predetermined belt width and/or length.
Dissolving tire rubber
A method for generating a dissolving rubber compound in asphalt is described. The method includes receiving an asphalt compound and heating the asphalt compound to approximately 320 F. to 420 F. The method then proceeds to add a tire rubber compound to the asphalt compound. The asphalt compound and the tire rubber compound are mixed for approximately 5 minutes to 240 minutes. The dissolved rubber compound is generated by heating a mixture of the asphalt compound and the tire rubber to approximately 525 F.-700 F. The dissolved rubber compound is then cooled.
Organic silicon coating
The present invention provides an organic silicon coating including 20 to 40 parts of methyl vinyl organic silicon polymer by weight, 1 to 6 parts of methyl phenyl organic silicon polymer by weight, 5 to 15 parts of hydrogenated silicone oil, 5 to 10 parts of fluorinated acrylate monomer by weight, 5 to 15 parts of silicon dioxide by weight, 0.2 to 2 parts of inhibitor by weight, 0.1 to 1 part of auxiliary by weight, 0.1 to 1 part of thermal initiator by weight, 30 to 50 parts of organic solvent by weight, and 2 to 5 parts of metal catalyst by weight. The organic silicon coating provided by the present invention has good adhesion for a silicone rubber or fluororubber base material with no surface treatment.
An Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Enhanced High-Flow Delivery High Pressure Hose and Manufacturing Method Thereof
The present invention relates to an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene enhanced high-flow delivery high-pressure hose and manufacturing method thereof. The hose includes an outer rubber layer, a reinforcing layer and an inner rubber layer from outside to inside. A thickness of the outer rubber layer is 0.3-6.0 mm. A thickness of the reinforcing layer is 1.0-5.0 mm. A thickness of the inner layer is 0.3-5.0 mm. The outer rubber layer and the inner layer are obtained by co-extruding onto the reinforcing layer using a coextrusion equipment. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: rubber mixing, preparing the reinforcing layer, producing a finished product, vulcanizing and pressure testing. The hose of the invention has the advantages of light weight, good flexibility, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and good weather fastness. The hose can be connected through a plurality of standard buckles, which is easy to wind up, easy to assemble and disassemble.
RUBBER-FIBER COMPOSITE, RUBBER-RESIN COMPOSITE AND PNEUMATIC TIRE IN WHICH SAME IS USED
An object of the present invention is to provide: a rubber-fiber composite obtained by coating a core-sheath fiber with a rubber, in which adhesion between the rubber and the fiber is improved and which is thereby allowed to exhibit an improved durability as compared to conventional rubber-fiber composites when used as a reinforcing material; a rubber-resin composite; and a pneumatic tire using the same. The rubber-fiber composite is obtained by coating a reinforcing material with a rubber, which reinforcing material is composed of a core-sheath type composite fiber whose core portion is constituted by a high-melting-point resin having a melting point of 150 C. or higher and sheath portion is constituted by an olefin-based polymer having a melting point lower than that of the high-melting point resin.
