COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MICROBIAL CONTROL ON MATERIAL SURFACES

A composition and method for microbial control on a material surface using a minimum risk pesticide such as a GRAS antimicrobial/preservative component. The GRAS antimicrobial/preservative component is preferably an organic acid.

DEGRADABLE MATERIALS AND PACKAGING MADE FROM SAME

A water-soluble film, comprising a first water-soluble film, wherein the first water soluble film disintegrates in water within less than about 24 hours and dissolves in water within less than about 48 hours as measured by the MSTM-205 at 20? C. The disclosure provides a water-soluble film comprising a first water-soluble film that disintegrates in water within less than 24 hours and dissolves in water within less than 48 hours as measured by MSTM-205 at 20? C. The first water-soluble film optionally may be further characterized in that it does not disintegrate in water for at least about 1 hour and does not dissolve in water for at least about 1 hour as measured by MSTM-205 at 20? C. The disclosure further provides a water-soluble film comprising a first water-soluble film characterized in that the degradation and/or dissolution of the first water-soluble film is adapted to be activated by consumer handling.

POROUS RESIN MICROPARTICLES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME

A manufacturing method for porous resin microparticles comprising steps of: heating a polyester thermoplastic resin having biodegradability to a temperature of 80 C. or higher and 200 C. or lower in a glycol ether solvent to obtain a solution, and cooling the solution to precipitate the polyester thermoplastic resin as porous resin microparticles.

GELS AND HYDROGELS AND SEED
20180086913 · 2018-03-29 ·

Gels and gel-containing materials, including hydrogels, are described. A gel can be formed by blending polyacrylic acid (PAA) and a polyglycol, such as polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) at room temperature and, in some cases, without using a catalyst. The blend material can be used to form soft or hard materials, films and particles. The blend material can be combined with vinyl monomers and polymerize to form a hydrogel. The hydrogel can have a high mechanical strength and high water absorbency. The materials may coat a plant seed.

Odor reduction and bacterial control on a textile material

A composition for odor reduction and bacterial control on a textile material is provided. The composition has a GRAS antimicrobial/preservative additive. The composition may contain an essential oil. The GRAS antimicrobial/preservative additive can be a minimum risk pesticide. The composition may have a carrier. A method of using the composition and an article treated with the composition are also provided.

EMBOSSED POLYMER SHEET
20170121475 · 2017-05-04 · ·

A high frequency semi-isotropic embossed polymer interlayer sheet is disclosed. The embossed polymer interlayer sheet has a first side; a second side opposing the first side; and an embossed surface on at least one of the sides, and a surface texture ratio, Str, (as measured per ISO 25178) of between 0.1 and 0.99. The embossed polymer sheet may have at least 50 roughness peaks per centimeter (R PC, as measured per ASME B46.1 (1985)). The embossed polymer sheet may have a mottle value of less than or equal to 2.5 (as measured by a Clear Mottle Analyzer (CMA)). The embossed polymer sheet may be polyvinyl butyral.
