The invention relates to an anion-exchange membrane (AEM) having a multiblock copolymer including a hydrophilic norbornene-based monomer and a hydrophobic alkene-based or norbornene-based monomer. The hydrophilic norbornene-based monomers include one or more cationic head groups such as a quaternary ammonium ion, which can optionally be crosslinked with a crosslinking agent to increase the structural stability of the polymer. These AEMs can be employed in electrochemical devices such as fuel cells.

CYCLIC OLEFIN-BASED RESIN COMPOSITION FILM

A cyclic olefin resin composition film having high toughness with less difference in toughness between length and width directions. The cyclic olefin resin composition film contains a cyclic olefin resin, a styrene elastomer and inorganic oxide fine particles having an average particle diameter of 40 nm or smaller, and has a linear expansion coefficient of 40 ppm/ C. to 60 ppm/ C. This film attains high toughness with less difference in toughness between length and width directions.

Frontal ring-opening metathesis polymerization (FROMP) offers a means to rapidly cure PDCPD with minimal input energy owing to a propagating reaction wave sustained by the exothermic polymerization. The disclosure provides methods for the rapid fabrication of fiber reinforced composites that is less restrictive and more energy efficient than conventional methods.

Thermosetting resin composition and prepreg, laminate and printed circuit board using same

Provided are a thermosetting resin composition and a prepreg, laminate and printed circuit board using same. The thermosetting resin composition comprises a resin component, the resin component comprising a modified cyclic olefin copolymer having a structure as shown in formula I and another unsaturated resin. By introducing a methacrylate end group having a certain polarity into a cyclic olefin copolymer, a modified cyclic olefin copolymer is formed. The modified cyclic olefin copolymer can form a thermosetting material by means of cross-linking with itself or another unsaturated resin, whereby the bonding property can be significantly improved while retaining the excellent dielectric properties of the cyclic olefin copolymer itself. The laminate prepared using the thermosetting resin composition has good dielectric properties, a good peel strength and a good heat resistance, and can meet all the performance requirements for printed circuit board substrates in the current high-frequency and high-speed communication field.

Also disclosed is a method for attaching a POM to an amine, carboxylic acid, or ammonium substituted porous polymer by (1) dissolving the POM in water or an organic solvent, adding the functionalized porous polymer, whereby the POM ionically attaches to the amine, carboxylic acid or ammonium group, or (2) heating the POM and functionalized polymer in the presence of a dehydrating agent whereby an imide bond is produced between the POM and the functionality on the porous polymer.

The present invention is a resin formed article comprising a hydrogenated syndiotactic crystalline dicyclopentadiene ring-opening polymer with an initial melting temperature of 260 C. or higher, a melting point of lower than 280 C. and a syndiotacticity of higher than 90%, and a resin film, and an injection formed article. One aspect of the invention provides a resin formed article, a resin film and an injection formed article which sufficiently reflect the properties of the hydrogenated crystalline dicyclopentadiene ring-opening polymer.
