Foam article with enhanced properties
A foam article, such as a cushioning element for an article of footwear, apparel or sporting equipment is provided that comprises a foam component, such as a midsole, having a number of beneficial physical characteristics. The cushioning element is a low-density foamed component with a surface skin that encases the remaining foam volume. The cushioning element has a number of foam volumes, arranged to achieve a more consistent foam component. Additionally, the cushioning element includes a series of concentric ridges extending radially outwardly from injection gate vestige locations, and a number of striation bands near the perimeter of the cushioning element. The location of the gate vestiges can be beneficially arranged to produce intersecting flow boundaries that are located away from key strain areas of the cushioning element. The cushioning element is more environmentally-friendly, requiring less energy to produce while still providing acceptable energy return and low density.
Method and resin impregnating device for producing a reinforcing bar
A resin impregnating device (1) is used in a method for producing a reinforcing bar and has a chamber for holding a liquid thermoplastic resin. A plurality of guide plates (4A-4C) is arranged in the chamber along a traveling direction of a plurality of strands of reinforcing fiber material (Fb). Through holes (41) in two of the guide plates (4A, 4C) guide or spread the strands of the reinforcing fiber material Fb away from each other, and a single through hole (42) in an intermediate one of the guide plates (4B) guides or converges all the strands of the reinforcing fiber material (Fb) towards each other.
THERMOSETTING MATERIAL FOR USE IN A 3D PRINTING PROCESS
The present invention relates to a thermosetting material for use in a 3D printing process comprising: a) at least one epoxy resin A, b) at least one elastomer-modified epoxy resin B, c) at least one resin C with a dynamic viscosity of below 4 Pas at 150° C., d) at least one of a curing agent D capable of reacting with A, B and optionally C, e) and optionally additional compounds,
wherein the glass transition temperature of the uncured material is at least 30° C., preferably at least 40° C. as measured with DSC at a heating rate of 20° C./min.
The invention further relates to a method of producing a cured 3D thermoset object and the use of the above-mentioned thermosetting material in a 3D printing process.
Antireflection film
The present invention relates to an antireflection film. The antireflection film includes a low refractive index layer having excellent alkali resistance and exhibiting remarkably improved mechanical properties such as scratch resistance and impact resistance as well as reduction of a glare phenomenon, and a base film exhibiting excellent mechanical strength and water resistance in spite of a thin thickness and having no fear of interference fringes occurring. Therefore, such antireflection film can be used as a protective film of a polarizing plate or used as any other component so as to provide a thin display device, and furthermore, can effectively prevent the glare phenomenon of the display device, and can more improve the durability and lifespan thereof.
Films with a primer layer containing composite particles that include an organic polymer portion and a siliceous portion
A film including: an organic polymeric substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface; an optional acrylic hardcoat layer disposed on the first major surface of the substrate; a siliceous primer layer disposed on the organic polymeric substrate or on the optional acrylic hardcoat layer, wherein the siliceous primer layer includes composite particles including an organic polymer portion and a siliceous portion; and a superhydrophilic surface layer disposed on the siliceous primer layer, wherein the superhydrophilic surface layer includes hydrophilic-functional groups.
Method For Treatment Of Waste Material And Reactor System Thereof
The reactor system comprises a reactor vessel with at least one inlet and a first and a second outlet, which reactor vessel is configured for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer and which first and second outlet are configured for removal of a first and a second part of a reaction mixture. The reactor system further comprises a heat exchanger downstream of the first outlet. Herein the second outlet is arranged at a lower position of the reactor vessel than the first outlet. The first outlet is configured for removal of the first part being a dispersion and/or solution comprising said condensation polymer and depolymerisation products thereof in a solvent. Said first part is led to the heat exchanger. The second outlet is configured for removal of the second part including agglomerates. The reactor system is used for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer.
RELEASE FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RELEASE FILM
To provide a release film having an electrostatic dissipative property. The present invention provides a release film comprising a base layer formed of a polyester resin and a surface layer formed of a tetrafluoroethylene resin that comprises an electrically conductive filler, and the release film has a surface resistivity Rs of 1×10.sup.11Ω or less. Preferably, the electrically conductive filler comprises carbon black, and the tetrafluoroethylene resin further comprises particles having an average particle size of 1 μm to 15 μm determined by laser diffraction particle size analysis.
METHOD FOR TREATING THE SURFACE OF MOULDED PARTS
A method is provided for treating the surface of a molded part produced with a plastic having ester, ketone and/or ether bonds. The plastic is selected from the group including a polymer, copolymer, polymer blend and combinations of the same. The method includes a pretreatment step for cationically modifying the surface of the molded part. The cationic modification is carried out with a reactant dissolved in a solvent and having one or more amine, imine and/or amide groups.
Cationic Curing Composition for Plastic Substrate, Coating Material, Plastic Product and Application
The disclosure provides a cationic curing composition for a plastic substrate, a coating material including the composition and an application of the composition in the field of energy curing. The cationic curing composition includes a polyhydroxy resin, an epoxy compound, an oxetanyl-containing compound, and a cationic initiator, the polyhydroxy resin is a polyester resin, an acrylic resin and/or a phenolic resin, and the molar ratio of a hydroxyl, a three-membered epoxy group to a four-membered epoxy group in the cationic curing composition is 1:(3-20):(1-25).
