METHOD FOR TREATING A POLYMER PART IN ORDER TO MODIFY ITS ROUGHNESS AND/OR TO FUNCTIONALISE IT
A method for treating a polymer part comprising a step of bringing the part into contact with vapours of solvent(s), capable of at least partially solubilising the part, this contacting step being carried out under vacuum. Application of this method for modifying the roughness of the part and/or functionalising it.
Copolymer powder with polyamide blocks and polyether blocks
A powder of a copolymer with polyamide blocks and polyether blocks. The invention concerns a composition comprising a powder of a copolymer with polyamide blocks and polyether blocks, the copolymer being in particle form with a pulverulent filler content of 0 to 10% by mass and the copolymer having a ratio by mass of the polyamide blocks to the polyether blocks of less than or equal to 0.7, the polyamide blocks having a number-average molar mass of less than or equal to 1000 g/mol; and the composition comprising a flow aid at a content of greater than or equal to 0.3% by mass. The invention also concerns the process for producing this composition, the use of the composition for constructing three-dimensional articles, and the three-dimensional articles manufactured from said composition.
Block copolymer foam
The invention relates to a noncrosslinked block copolymer foam, comprising at least one rigid block and at least one flexible block, in which the copolymer includes at least one carboxylic acid chain end blocked with a polycarbodiimide. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing this foam and to articles manufactured therefrom.
Method for producing printed matter and printing machine
Provided are a method for producing a printed matter and a printing machine which suppress the decrease of transferability and improve adhesiveness between ink and a film substrate when ink is printed on the film substrate. The method for producing a printed matter of the present invention is a method for producing a printed matter by printing ink on a film, which uses a film having a nitrogen element concentration of 0.5 to 10.0 atom % in the film surface, and includes irradiating with an active energy ray after printing.
POLYMER FOAM ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING POLYMER FOAMS
Molded polymer foam articles are described as having a novel a foam structure. The polymer foam articles include a continuous polymer matrix defining a plurality of pneumatoceles therein which is present throughout the entirety of the article, including in the surface region extending 500 microns beneath the surface of the article. The surface region is further characterized as having compressed pneumatoceles. The novel foam structure is achieved even when molding polymer foam articles comprising a thickness of more than 2 cm, a volume of more than 1000 cm.sup.3; or both a volume of more than 1000 cm.sup.3 and a thickness of more than 2 cm. Methods of making the molded polymer foam articles are also described.
