Resin blends containing a phthalonitrile reactive diluent and a diphthalonitrile resin, prepregs, and articles
The present disclosure provides a resin blend. The resin blend includes at least one diluent containing a single phthalonitrile functional group and at least one diphthalonitrile resin. Also provided are prepregs including the resin blend impregnated into continuous reinforcing fibers or a cloth. Similarly, the present disclosure provides a molding compound including chopped reinforcing fibers distributed in the resin blend. An article is also provided, which includes polymerization product of the resin blend. An alternative article includes a substrate and a layer of the resin blend disposed on the substrate. The diluent typically improves processability of the resin blend and lowers the softening temperature of the polymerization product of the resin blend.
Self-healing and stretchable polymeric compositions
Disclosed herein a self-healing, flexible, conductive compositions. The conductive compositions include conductive polymers and acidic polyacrylamides. The compositions are useful in a wide range of applications, including wearable electronics and sensors. The compositions may be prepared using environmentally friendly procedures.
METHOD AND FORMULATION FOR AN ISOCYANATE-FREE FOAM USING ISOCYANATE-FREE POLYURETHANE CHEMISTRY
The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a method of making a foam. The disclosed formulation has a first part with at least one multifunctional acrylate. The disclosed formulations have a second part with at least one non-isocyanate polyurethane oligomer derived from a reaction of at least one multifunctional cyclocarbonate and at least one first multifunctional amine, and a second multifunctional amine. The formulation may also have a blowing agent and at least one surfactant.
Benzothiazoles as latent catalysts for benzoxazine resins
A curable system containing a benzoxazine and a benzothiazole sulfenamide. The curable system may be catalyzed at temperatures generally used to cure multifunctional epoxy resins yet exhibits improved pot-life and processing times and provides a cured article that exhibits acceptable thermo mechanical properties.
Resin composition, prepreg, resin sheet, metal foil-clad laminate, and printed circuit board
It is intended to provide a resin composition that suppresses the thermal expansion of a printed circuit board more than ever and also prevents the bleedout of substances from the printed circuit board, while maintaining a high glass transition temperature. The resin composition of the present invention contains an alkenyl-substituted nadimide, a maleimide compound, and an epoxy-modified cyclic silicone compound.
CURABLE COMPOSITION
The present application relates to a curable composition. The present application provides a curable composition comprising an internal heat source for generating heat by application of an alternate-current magnetic field from the outside, together with a phthalonitrile compound and a curing agent therefor. The curable composition can precisely control the heat generated from the internal heat source according to the strength of the alternate-current magnetic field to precisely control curing conditions of the curable composition.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION
An object of the present invention is to provide a cyanate ester-based curable resin composition having a high curing rate, very high heat resistance and very high long-term heat resistance, and a molded article and a prepreg each using the same. The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin composition including (A) a cyanate ester compound and/or (B) an unsaturated imide compound, and (C) a cyclic carbodiimide compound. In addition, the present invention relates to a molded article including a cured product of the thermosetting resin composition, and a prepreg including a reinforcing fiber substrate impregnated with the thermosetting resin composition.
FOAM COMPOSITIONS
Foam compositions are provided. The compositions are prepared from multi-functional acetoacetate esters and multi-functional amines or acrylates. The foam compositions can include one or more additives. The foam compositions can be used for home and commercial insulation, air sealing, sound proofing, structural improvement, and exterior roofing, among other applications. The foam compositions provide advantages of being isocyanate free and offer reduced exposure to isocyanate.
INJECTABLE HYBRID ALGINATE HYDROGELS AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to a hybrid hydrogel, in particular degradable or non-degradable, comprising a first hydrogel polymer of formula (I) in association with an alginate hydrogel polymer, and optionally organosilica particles in particular degradable or non-degradable nanoparticles, or porous silicon particles; pharmaceutical, veterinary and/or cosmetic compositions thereof; and uses thereof as a medicament. The invention notably relates to the use of such hybrid hydrogel in the treatment of fistulas and physiological leaks/leakages, notably in the gastrointestinal tract. The present invention finds applications in the therapeutic and diagnostic medical technical fields and also in cosmetic and veterinary technical fields.
