SHEET, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND TIRE COMPRISING THE SAME
Provided are a sheet, a method of its preparation, and a tire comprising the sheet, wherein the sheet comprises tire cords, a topping rubber for topping the tire cords, and a conductive fiber located on the surface of the topping rubber.
The sheet can provide tires, on which a rubber composition with a low electricity-transmitting property and low rolling resistance is applied, with excellent conductivity.
METHODS FOR TREATING INNER LINERS, INNER LINERS RESULTING THEREFROM AND TIRES CONTAINING SUCH INNER LINERS
Methods for treating a cured inner liner as well as treated, cured inner liners resulting from such methods are disclosed. Also disclosed are tires containing the treated inner liners. The methods include treatment of the lower surface of inner liner surface with a rubber-containing liquid to produce a rubber-containing film thereupon.
METHODS FOR RETREADING TIRES EMPLOYING CUSHION GUM WITH STABLE DINITRILE OXIDE CURE SYSTEM
A process for retreading a tire, the process comprising the steps of providing a tire casing, providing a cured rubber component having first and second planar surfaces, providing a cushion gum, wherein the cushion gum contains a cure system comprising at least one stable aryl dinitrile oxide compound, applying the cushion gum to the tire casing, and forming a tire composite by applying the second planar surface of the cured rubber component to the cushion gum.
RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR HOLLOW BALL AND HOLLOW BALL
A rubber composition for a hollow ball includes a base rubber, an inorganic filler composed of a large number of flat particles, and a carbon-based filler. As to the carbon-based filler, a degree of flatness DLc obtained by dividing an average particle diameter D.sub.50.sup.c (m) by an average thickness Tc (m) is not less than 50. A weight ratio Mc/Mi is not less than 0.01 and not greater than 1.00. The rubber composition is obtained by a production method including: a first step of mixing the base rubber and the carbon-based filler to obtain a master batch; and a second step of adding the large number of flat particles that form the inorganic filler, to the master batch to orient the large number of flat particles. The hollow ball 2 includes a core 4 formed from the rubber composition.
VULCANIZATES AND TIRE COMPONENTS PREPARED FROM COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING MERCAPTO-FUNCTIONAL SILOXANES
A vulcanizate prepared by a method including introducing an elastomer, a filler, and a mercapto-functional siloxane to form a masterbatch, where the mercapto-functional siloxane is selected from the group consisting of poly(dimethylsiloxane-co-mercaptopropylmethylsiloxane) and dimethoxy mercapto propyl terminated siloxanes, introducing a curative to the masterbatch to form a vulcanizable composition, and subjecting the vulcanizable composition to curing conditions.
Elastomer Composites, Blends and Methods for Preparing Same
Blends of elastomer composites with unfilled or less highly filled elastomer reduces hysteresis without compromising reinforcement. Hysteresis may also be reduced by adjusting the compounding method.
INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A polylactic acid resin composition of the present invention is constructed by dynamically cross-linking a resin mixture containing a polylactic acid-based resin, trans-polyisoprene, and a cross-linking agent. The resin composition can be used for a wide variety of applications such as automobile molded articles, molded articles for electric products, molded articles for agricultural materials, molded articles for business use, and molded articles for daily use.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE
Provided is a vulcanized rubber composition having good on-ice performance and excellent wear resistance. The rubber composition of the present disclosure contains a rubber component containing natural rubber, a cyclic polyol compound having a hydrocarbyl group, and a liquid polymer having a polystyrene-equivalent weight-average molecular weight of 5000 or more and less than 40000 measured by gel permeation chromatography.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE
Provided is a rubber composition having excellent cut resistance. The rubber composition of the present disclosure contains a rubber component containing natural rubber and a modified diene-based polymer, and a cyclic polyol compound having a hydrocarbyl group, where in the rubber component, the content of the natural rubber is 20% by mass or more, and the content of the modified diene-based polymer is 10% by mass or more.
