Polymer compositions and their uses
Provided herein is a polymer composition comprising a polyhydroxyamino ether (e.g., a crosslinked polyhydroxyamino ether) and printed circuit boards comprising the same.
POLYMERIC FILMS
A polymeric film includes a substrate at least partially coated with hydrophobic particles, the hydrophobic particles include: a metal oxide core; and a hydrocarbon chain having from 2 to 40 carbon atoms, wherein the hydrocarbon chain is chemically bound to the metal oxide core
Method and system for providing dynamic personalized recommendations for a destination
Methods and systems for providing a user with content relevant to a location of interest to the user, when the user is determined to be at or near the location, are presented. The user's interest in the location may be determined based on queries about the location received from the user prior to the user arriving at the location. The queries received from the user about the location are used to build a location recommendation model, which generates personalized content relevant to the location and to one or more interest verticals identified for the user. The location recommendation model is built using a location recommendation engine that collects data about the user, the queried location, one or more associations between the user, the queried location, and/or one or more other users, as well as various other information related to the user's interests and the queried location.
FLAME RETARDANT MASTERBATCH COMPOSITION FOR FOAMS CONTAINING A PH MODERATOR
A masterbatch composition suitable for use as a flame retardant in extruded polymer foams, and process for manufacturing the same, and extruded foams containing same; the composition comprising: (a) 20 to 40 parts by weight base resin comprising styrene homopolymer or copolymer; (b) 1 to 16 parts by weight acid scavenger comprising an epoxy-based compound; (c) 2 to 6 parts by weight antioxidant comprising an alkyl or aryl phosphite; and (d) 45 to 60 parts by weight flame retardant comprising a non-hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) brominated polymer or copolymer, wherein the amounts of (a), (b), (c), and (d) total 100 parts by weight; and (e) 0.6 to 10 parts by weight of pH moderator, based on 100 parts of (a) base resin plus (e) water soluble pH moderator.
Laminate and method of producing same
A laminate comprising a plastic substrate (A); a hardened organic polymer layer (B) provided on a surface of the plastic substrate (A) and having a storage elastic modulus of from 0.01 to 5 GPa and tan δ of from 0.1 to 2.0 at 25° C. which are measured at a temperature elevating rate of 2° C./min by a dynamic viscoelasticity test stipulated in JIS K 7244; an organic/inorganic composite layer (C) provided on a surface of the hardened organic polymer layer (B) and containing covalently bound organic polymer and metal oxide nanoparticles; and an inorganic layer (D) provided on a surface of the organic/inorganic composite layer (C) and comprising secondary particles of ceramic or metal.
Prepreg and fiber-reinforced composite material
A prepreg contains: a reinforcing fiber material; and a resin composition with which the reinforcing fiber material is impregnated. The resin composition contains an epoxy resin, an amine curing agent, and an imidazole curing agent. An amount of the amine curing agent is less than or equal to 3.8 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the epoxy resin, and a sum of the amount of the amine curing agent and an amount of the imidazole curing agent is less than or equal to 10 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the epoxy resin. The fiber-reinforced composite material is a cured product of the prepreg.
Super-hydrophobic electrothermal epoxy resin composite material and preparation and self-repairing method therefor
Superhydrophobic electrothermal epoxy composites, their preparation and a self-healing method are disclosed. 1,4,5-oxadithiepane-2,7-dione and methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride were mixed and cured with epoxides to get self-healable epoxy resins; carbon nanotube/self-healable epoxy resin prepolymers were coated on self-healable epoxy resins and cured to get electrothermal epoxy composites; modified superhydrophobic copper powders were adhered on electrothermal epoxy composites and cured to get a kind of superhydrophobic electrothermal epoxy composites. The thermal resistance of superhydrophobic electrothermal epoxy composites is superior to existed technical solutions and they can simultaneously repair cracking and delamination and the healed samples still exhibit excellent superhydrophobicity. These merits of superhydrophobic electrothermal epoxy composites provided in this invention can meet the harsh requirements of self-healing and removing ice on surfaces of wind turbine blades, suggesting good abilities of guaranteeing service safety and lifespan of wind turbine blades.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MATERIAL WITH PRIMER, AND RESIN-RESIN CONJUGATE
A primer-attached thermoplastic resin material having a thermoplastic resin material and one or plural primer layers laminated on the thermoplastic resin material, wherein at least one layer of the primer layers is a layer derived from a film.
Epoxy-fiber reinforced composites, method to form the composites and epoxy resin composition used therefor
A resin composition is comprised of an epoxy resin comprised of a solid epoxy resin and a liquid polyurethane toughener that is dissolved in the epoxy resin and, upon curing of the liquid epoxy resin, the liquid polyurethane toughener phase separates into particles having a particle size of 50 nm to 2 micrometers, an epoxy hardener; and an epoxy soluble latent catalyst. The resin composition provides a more homogeneous infusion of the resin into a fibrous material for forming a prepreg and ultimately an epoxy fiber reinforced composition with improved toughness without sacrificing speed of impregnation or uniformity of the epoxy matrix within the composite.
Filler disposition film
A filler disposition film that can use a commercially procurable filler material having good particle diameter uniformity, enables high positional precision of the filler disposition, can support even an increase in the surface area, and has a prescribed filler regularly disposed in a long resin film. Moreover, the rate of consistency of disposition of the filler in the filler disposition film in rectangular areas of a prescribed size having a length of 1000 times or more the average particle diameter of the prescribed filler, and a width of 0.2 mm or greater is 90% or greater. Such a rectangular area has a long-side direction that is substantially parallel to the long-side direction of the filler disposition film, and a widthwise direction that is substantially parallel to a short-side direction of the filler disposition film. The average particle diameter of the regularly disposed filler is from 0.4 μm to 100 μm.
