FOOTWEAR COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHODS

Physical foaming a footwear component with a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid is provided. The method include temperature conditioning a mold and then engaging the mold with a robot that conveys the mold to a press. At the press a gas counter pressure is applied to a cavity of the mold before injecting a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid into the cavity of the mold. The process continues with releasing the gas counter pressure from the cavity of the mold and then removing the footwear component from the cavity of the mold. The parameters of the method are configured for the formation of the footwear component in an automated manner.

Skin-foam-substrate structure via induction heating

A method of forming a skin-foam-substrate type structure particular suitable as an automobile trim component. The method comprises supplying a polymer resin containing a chemical foaming agent and including metal particles capable of inductive heating, that is positioned between a polymeric skin and substrate, followed by inductive heating to cause foaming of the polymeric resin. The foamed polymer resin adheres to the skin and substrate.

FOOTWEAR COMPONENT MANUFACTURING SYSTEM

A system including an injector, a press, and a robotic conveyance is used to form a physically foamed article of footwear component from a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid. The parameters and features of the system are configured for the formation of the footwear component in an automated manner with enhanced throughput by the system.

POLYESTER FILM, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND METHOD FOR REPRODUCING POLYETHYLENETEREPHTHALATE CONTAINER USING SAME

Embodiments relate to a polyester film, preparation method thereof and method for reproducing polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) container using same, the crystallization temperature (Tc) of the polyester film is not measured or is 70° C. to 130° C., as measured by differential scanning calorimetry, whereby it is possible to easily control the crystallinity. Accordingly, the polyester film has excellent shrinkage characteristics and recyclability, and clumping rarely occurs even if it is dried at high temperatures for a long period of time in the regeneration process.

Highly hydrophobic and oleophilic melamine resin via metal-ion induced wettability transition, application, and preparation thereof

This disclosure is related to a class of metal-ion induced hydrophobic polymers and method of producing such class of compounds by a one-step solution immersion process. Specifically, a metal-ion Induced hydrophobic polymer or melamine sponge (MII-HMS) is disclosed. Such polymer or sponge is demonstrated to be highly hydrophobic and oleophilic and exhibits excellent oil absorption capabilities, being able to absorb a wide range of oils and organic solvents up to 71 to 157 times of its own weight.

In the multilayer film provided with a primer layer of a specific composition comprising a polyester-based resin on a polyamide-based base layer, the adhesive strength with a hard coating layer and an OCA layer to be coated on the surface thereof is excellent, as well as the optical and mechanical properties are also excellent.

METHOD TO PRODUCE A COATING LAYER, A BUILDING PANEL AND A COATED FOIL

The present disclosure relates to a method to produce a coating layer, including applying a coating composition on a surface of a carrier, curing the coating composition to a coating layer, and subsequently applying pressure to the coating layer. The disclosure further relates to a method to produce a building panel, and such a building panel, and to a method to produce a coated foil, and such a coated foil.

Organic polymer aerogels comprising microstructures

An organic polymer aerogel that includes an organic polymer gel matrix and microstructures dispersed or embedded within the aerogel is disclosed. The aerogel can have an at least bimodal pore size distribution comprising a first peak of less than or equal to 65 nm and a second peak greater than or equal to 100 nm.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYESTER FILM FOR EMBOSSING
20230339168 · 2023-10-26 ·

A method for manufacturing a polyester film for embossing is provided. A polyester composition is prepared from a recycled polyester material. The polyester composition includes a physically regenerated polyester resin and a chemically regenerated polyester resin. The polyester composition is melted and extruded so as to form a base layer. The base layer is stretched in a machine direction. A surface coating paste is coated onto the base layer. The base layer with the surface coating paste is heated and stretched in a transverse direction, such that the surface coating paste turns into a surface coating layer, and a polyester film for embossing is obtained.
