A garment management system includes at least one elastic strap and at least one fastening means. The garment management system may be used to attach one garment to another to retain garments in a position while those garments are being worn by a person. Exemplary fastening means include clips and clamps. The elastic strap may be of an adjustable length to accommodate users of various heights and different configurations of garments. In use, the garment management system permits a user to move relatively freely without the risk of having garments slip off or move out of preferred positions.

A closure system for a boot or other footwear includes a tension member that is disposed within the boot and routed or guided about a path within the boot via one or more guides. The closure system also includes an adjustment member that is disposed within the boot and operably coupled with the tension member. The closure system further includes a reel based closure device having a knob that is operable to tension the tension member and to release tension from the tension member. Tensioning of the tension member adjusts a fit of the adjustment member about a foot within the boot to secure the foot within the boot and loosening of the tension member adjusts the fit of the adjustment member about the foot to allow the foot to be more easily removed from the boot.

A head garment having a base section and a face section is provided where the face section is both affixed to the base section and releasably extends over the face of the user to create a magnetic seal against the elements. The head garment may also include a magnetic fastener to position the face covering section when it is not extended over the face of the user.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to adjustable closure devices. One embodiment has a strap, a connector attached to a strap end, a chafe mounted on the strap behind the connector, and a hinged handle on the chafe. The chafe has a two outer bars and a central bar, these bars defining strap through-paths. The strap end-region has path segments arranged, directionally from the strap's central region toward the strap end at the chafe, or, in embodiments that configure the strap as a pulley, at the connector. An adjustable length region of the strap spans between the chafe and the connector. An elevatable handle configuration allows a user to pull the chafe to which it is connected along the strap, away from connector. As the chafe moves along the strap, the strap can transition between a large circumference configuration and small circumference. Some embodiments have a strap friction-locking mechanism associated with the handle and the chafe.

A nursing garment system having a body with a front and rear region, wherein the front region of the body includes a first securement member. The nursing garment further includes a first strap having a first and second end affixed to the body, and a second securement member disposed between the first and second end of the first strap. The nursing garment can also include a second strap having a first end secured to the front region of the body, a third securement member secured to the second end of the second strap, and a breast pad having a fourth securement member. Here, the third securement member of the second strap can be secured to the fourth securement member of the breast pad, and the second securement member of the first strap can be secured to the first securement member of the body.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to adjustable closure devices. One embodiment has a strap, a connector attached to a strap end, a chafe mounted on the strap behind the connector, and a hinged handle on the chafe. An article of footwear can include provisions for improving the operation and use of various systems associated with the article. A control device included in the article can be configured to allow manual control of a system by a user. A lockout feature that can disable manual control may be included. During periods of competitive activity, the manual controls may be disabled to allow a user wearing the article to engage in different activities without inadvertent activation of a system. In some cases, the control device and lookout feature can be used in conjunction with a motorized tensioning system.
