Optical systems including an optic holder with integrated light premixer are disclosed. In one embodiment, an optical system includes a lens holder adapted for holding at least one lens, said lens holder comprising a hollow waveguide extending from a proximal end adapted to receive light from a light source to a distal end, wherein said hollow waveguide comprises a reflective optical surface for reflecting at least a portion of the light received from the light source so as to direct the reflected light to said distal end of the waveguide. In some embodiments, the lens holder may be configured to receive a plurality of nested lenses optically coupled to said distal end of the waveguide.

To provide a fastening tool that can solve problems that are raised upon locking the opening portion of clothing, baggage or the like, and can also positively lock the portion to be locked at a desired position without the necessity of any processing jobs, such as caulking, sewing and the like, so as to be freely detachably locked. The fastening tool is provided with at least a pair of fastening members a and b which have detachably attaching portions that are freely detachably attached to each other, and each of the fastening members a and b has a substrate with a piercing needle formed on one of the surfaces, a bottom plate that is penetrated by the piercing needle, a pierce catch made of a cap-shaped member to cover the tip of the penetrated piercing needle, and detachably attaching portions that are freely detachably engaged with each other.

A sewing system for attaching or re-attaching buttons is provided. Embodiments of the sewing system have a single- or multi-strand thread of one to ten woven threads, the threads having a length of at least one inch with one needle pre-attached, terminating in free strands, an opposing end securement, or two needles attached to opposing ends of the thread. The appearance of a professionally sewn button is provided while eliminating the need to make multiple passes through the button holes and fabric.

An inner surface configured to engage the edge of the peripheral portion. A channel section with a generally concave shape that is configured to receive the edge of the peripheral portion. And, a fastening mechanism configured to join with said inner surface, wherein said fastening mechanism is deformable upon engagement with the edge of the peripheral portion, and wherein said deformation is configured to create a spring tensioned force that firmly retains said device to the edge of the periphery portion.

A device having a rod implement configured to extend across an edge of a peripheral portion of a brim or visor of a cap. The rod implement has an outer surface configured to provide a visible portion of said rod implement. A decorative element joined with said outer surface. An inner surface configured to engage the edge of the peripheral portion. A channel section with a generally concave shape that is configured to receive the edge of the peripheral portion. A garment attachment assembly is provided. The assembly includes a plurality of garment attachment modules each having an elongated support member, a garment attachment provided on an inner side of the support member, an accessory attachment provided on the outer side of the support member, and a coupling mechanism for coupling adjacent supports in an end-to-end configuration. Adjacent garment attachment modules can thus be coupled to adjust an overall length of the garment attachment assembly to fit a garment, and allow an accessory to be attached thereto. Corresponding method for securing an accessory to a garment is also provided.

The field of invention relates to wearable retainers, and more particularly pertains to a new and improved eyewear retainer apparatus (100) wherein the same permits securement of ornamental indicia such as hatpins (110), lapel pins, trading pins and the like thereto. The magnetic multipurpose wearable retainer (100) has a cylindrical cavity (240) configured to releasably retain the nail portion (315) of said ornamental indicia. Said wearable retainer (100) attaches to shirts (900), hats (1200), jackets (1000), and other articles of clothing and accessories (1100). A hoop constructed of a length of fishing wire (120) is attached thereto said wearable retainer (100) for releasably securing eyewear (125). An earpiece (135) of said eyewear (125) is hooked through said hoop (120) until said eyewear lug (140) rests on said hoop (120), thus suspending said eyewear (125) therefrom. The embodiments disclosed herein retain ornamental nail bearing type indicia while keeping eyewear (125) and other items releasably attached thereto within easy reach.

A garment having a collar, the garment comprising: a placket, extending the length of the garment and having spaced apart first and a second buttons substantially nearer to the collar than a third button; wherein a portion of the placket intermediate the first and second button comprises a fly-front placket hiding an intermediate button therein; and wherein a remaining portion of the placket is not a fly front placket.

Magnetic textile fasteners are disclosed. In one embodiment, the textile fastener may include a spherical member and two receiving members. Each of the receiving members may include a surface portion and an opening within the flat surface portion, wherein the opening is configured to receive the spherical member. In an embodiment, textiles are placed between each receiving portion and the spherical member while the spherical member is inserted at least partially into the openings. The spherical member thereby applies a force between each textile and its respective receiving member. Magnetic interaction between the spherical member and the receiving members may maintain the force between the textile and the receiving members.
