Article, in particular air spring bellows, a metal-rubber element, or a vibration damper
The invention relates to an article having a single- or multi-layered main body having elastic properties, in particular an air spring bellows, a metal-rubber element or a vibration damper. In order to improve its flame retardant properties, the main body of the article consists of or contains at least one layer D constructed from a rubber mixture which is free from halogen-containing flame retardants and contains a first aluminum trihydrate (ATH_1) and at least one further aluminum trihydrate (ATH_2) and at least one amorphous silicic acid having spherical particle geometry, wherein the first aluminum trihydrate (ATH_1) and the further aluminum trihydrate (ATH_2) each have a different particle size.
Heating layer for film removal
Embodiments of the presently disclosed system include a thin thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer film loaded with non-polymeric inclusions that are susceptible to heating under a time-varying magnetic field. Insertion of this additional heating layer into a structural or semi-structural heterogeneous laminate provides an on-demand de-bonding site for laminate deconstruction. For example, in some embodiments when the heating layer is inserted between a cured Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) layer and a Polymeric/Metallic film stackup layer, the heating layer can be selectively heated above its softening point (e.g., by using energy absorbed from a locally-applied time-varying magnetic field) to allow for ease of applique separation from the CFRP layer.
Air springs with improved high temperature performance
An air spring bellow comprising a vulcanized rubber component including the at least partially vulcanized residue of EPDM and a rubber other than EPDM. A method for preparing an air spring bellow is also provided.

POLYCHLOROPRENE-BASED CONTACT ADHESIVES CONTAINING ETHYLENE-VINYL ACETATE COPOLYMER
Contact adhesive compositions comprising polychloroprene and, based on the polychloroprene content, 10 to 99 wt % of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer exhibit outstanding adhesion to substrates such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, thermoplastic elastomers or flexible PVC. The contact adhesive compositions of the invention are especially suitable for use in the bonding of articles, preferably articles in which at least part of the articles to be bonded consists of polyurethane, flexible PVC, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and/or thermoplastic elastomers. This allows the adhesive composition to be employed widely in the footwear industry, for the bonding of roofing membranes containing flexible PVC, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) and/or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, or for the bonding of synthetic leather based on flexible PVC.

Inter-penetrating elastomer network derived from ground tire rubber particles
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.

Passive Nose Warming Apparatus and Safeguard
A self-adhering, moldable and yet semi-rigid safeguard for the nose that does not require straps or bands, which also simultaneously protects a person's nose from inclement weather.
The apparatus is made of low temperature moldable plastic enclosed between two layers of polychloroprene with a temporary adhesive applied to the back of the attachment so that it may adhere to a person's nose.
The low temperature moldable plastic provides further adherence to a person's nose with its ability to be custom form fitted to a person's exact nose shape because of the safeguard's ability to be molded at warm temperatures.
The low temperature molded plastic then cools to become more rigid offering further protection.
