POLYARYLENE SULFIDE RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDED ARTICLE, LAYERED PRODUCT, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a production method for a layered product in which a metal film can be formed on the surface of a polyarylene sulfide (PAS) molded article with a high adhesive force by a simple step. Further, provided are: a polyarylene sulfide resin composition and a molded article that can be used in the layered product in which a metal film can be formed on the surface of the PAS molded article with a high adhesive force by a simpler step; and production methods therefor. More specifically, provided are: a polyarylene sulfide resin composition obtained by blending a polyarylene sulfide resin, a thermoplastic elastomer and/or a hydrolyzable thermoplastic resin, a carbonate, and a polyolefin-based wax; a molded article which is obtained by melt-molding the polyarylene sulfide resin composition and in which the surface is roughened; a layered product having a metal plating layer; and production methods therefor.

In-vehicle lithium ion battery member
An in-vehicle lithium ion battery member produced by molding a resin composition containing (a) a polyphenylene ether resin, the resin composition having a critical strain in a chemical resistance evaluation of 0.5% or more and a Charpy impact strength at 23° C. of 20 kJ/m.sup.2 or more.
Asphalt packets, asphalt mixture systems and related methods
Asphalt packets and methods of making and using asphalt packets are provided. For example, an asphalt packet can be provided that include asphalt that comprises an inner volume and a polymer film outer coating that encapsulates the inner volume of the asphalt. The polymer film outer coating can be non-tacky at ambient temperatures to permit stacking of a plurality of asphalt packets under weight without causing the packets to agglomerate.
AN ACOUSTIC DAMPING MATERIAL COMPRISING RENEWABLE RAW MATERIALS
An acoustic damping material includes a binder matrix which includes a bitumen component or a polymer component, and a filler component that includes at least one solid particulate cellulose-containing filler. The acoustic damping material is suitable for use in damping of undesired vibrations and noise in mechanical structures and components of manufactured articles. The acoustic damping material may be applied to damping of vibrations and noise in transportation vehicles and white goods, to a vibration and noise damping element including a damping layer composed of the acoustic damping material, to a method for applying a vibration and noise damping element to a noise emitting surface of a substrate, and to a vibration damped system comprising a substrate and the vibration and noise damping element bonded to a noise emitting surface of the substrate.

Additive Systems Containing an Antioxidant and a Glycerol Stearate for Improved Color in Polyethylene Resins
Polymer compositions containing an ethylene polymer, 50-1500 ppm by weight of a glycerol stearate, and 250-7500 ppm by weight of an antioxidant selected from a phenolic antioxidant, a phosphite antioxidant, a thioester antioxidant, or any combination thereof, are described. These polymer compositions have improved initial color, improved color after long-term aging, or improved color after multi-pass extrusion processing.
