SINGLE COMPONENT HYDROPHOBIC COATING
A coating composition includes a polymer prepared from a mixture of reactants including (a) a fluorinated polysiloxane and (b) an alkoxy silane functional resin. The alkoxy silane functional resin includes a polyurethane resin or an acrylic resin. A substrate at least partially coated with the coating composition is also disclosed. A method of condensing a polar fluid by contacting a substrate at least partially coated with the coating composition with a polar fluid, such that the polar fluid condenses on at least a portion of the coated substrate is also disclosed.

Method for modifying a casting resin and/or coating composition
Suggested is a method for modifying the rheology of a casting resin and/or coating composition, comprising the following steps: providing a composition comprising at least one monomer capable of forming a casting resin or coating upon polymerisation; and adding to said composition a working amount of a urea urethane obtained under specific conditions as a thixotropic agent.

Antimicrobial Thermoplastic Polyuethanes
The disclosed technology provides thermoplastic polyurethane compositions having non-leaching antimicrobial properties while still maintaining good physical properties, methods of making the same, and articles, including medical devices, made from such compositions. The disclosed technology includes a process of making an antimicrobial polymer composition, where the process includes mixing an antimicrobial additive into a polymeric material; wherein said polymeric material comprises a polymeric backbone made up of urethane linkages derived from a polyisocyanate and a polyol; and wherein said mixing occurs under conditions that result in the breaking of a minority of said urethane bonds resulting in reactive isocyanate groups; and wherein two or more of said reactive isocyanate groups react with said antimicrobial additive to covalently bond said antimicrobial additive into the polymeric backbone of said polymeric material; resulting in an antimicrobial polymer composition.
COMPOSITION INCLUDING AN ACRYLIC POLYMER, A WATER-REPELLENT POLYMER, AND AN ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT STABILIZER AND RELATED ARTICLES AND METHODS
The composition includes an acrylic polymer, a water-repellent polymer, and a stabilizer against ultraviolet light, in which the stabilizer is an ultraviolet light-absorber, a hindered amine light stabilizer, or a combination thereof. A coated article includes at least one of hardwood, softwood, oriented strand board, or plywood with a surface that is at least partially coated, wherein the surface that is at least partially coated has a b* value on the International Commission on Illumination L*, a*, and b* scale greater than 15 after 90 days of weathering. Methods of making the composition and the coated article are also described.

Method of manufacturing OSB with acoustic dampening properties
A manufacturing process for manufacturing wood products with acoustic dampening properties. A noise-dampening polymer is introduced in-line in the manufacturing process to achieve higher acoustic performance. The polymer can be a viscoelastic polymer which is added during blending of the lignocellulosic strands prior to mat formation, or sprayed or otherwise coated on the lignocellulosic strands during mat formation, prior to formation of any boards or panels.
