Composite component
The invention relates to a composite component that has improved bonding properties and includes a substrate (i) made of a thermoplastic polymer blend composition, and a coating (ii); in a layer located 5 to 10 μm below the boundary surface between the substrate (i) and the coating (ii), the substrate (i) has a dispersed, non-lamellar phase structure. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the composite component.
Fabrication of a polishing pad for chemical mechanical polishing
A method of forming a CMP pad includes providing a solution of a block copolymer (BCP), where the BCP includes a first segment and a second segment connected to the first segment, the second segment being different from the first segment in composition. The method further includes processing the BCP to form a polymer network having a first phase and a second phase embedded in the first phase, where the first phase includes the first segment and the second phase includes the second segment, and subsequently removing the second phase from the polymer network, thereby forming a polymer film that includes a network of pores embedded in the first phase. Thereafter, the method proceeds to combining the CMP top pad and a CMP sub-pad to form a CMP pad, where the CMP top pad is configured to engage with a workpiece during a CMP process.
THERMOSETTING MATERIAL FOR USE IN A 3D PRINTING PROCESS
The present invention relates to a thermosetting material for use in a 3D printing process comprising: a) at least one epoxy resin A, b) at least one elastomer-modified epoxy resin B, c) at least one resin C with a dynamic viscosity of below 4 Pas at 150° C., d) at least one of a curing agent D capable of reacting with A, B and optionally C, e) and optionally additional compounds,
wherein the glass transition temperature of the uncured material is at least 30° C., preferably at least 40° C. as measured with DSC at a heating rate of 20° C./min.
The invention further relates to a method of producing a cured 3D thermoset object and the use of the above-mentioned thermosetting material in a 3D printing process.
