The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment, the composition includes a neat ethylene/propylene/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer. The neat ethylene/propylene/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer includes from greater than 0 wt % to 6.0 wt % nonconjugated polyene. The neat ethylene/propylene/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer has the following properties: (i) a molecular weight (Mw) from 240,000 to 270,000; (ii) a Mooney viscosity (ML (1+4), 125° C.) from 80 to 85; (iii) a rheology ratio (RR) from 35 to 65; (iv) a Mw/Mn from 2.2 to 3.5; (v) a tan delta ratio from 0.6 to 0.9; and (vi) an absolute tan delta slope from 5.0 to less than 10.0.

Polyethylene composition and film having outstanding properties

A polyethylene composition comprises a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 200,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, and a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 200,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene. The polyethylene composition has a composition distribution breadth index, CDBI.sub.50 obtained from a crystallization elution fractionation (CEF) analysis of <45 weight %. A film made from the polyethylene composition may have a machine direction 1% secant modulus of ≥200 MPa (at a film thickness of about 1 mil), a seal initiation temperature (SIT) of ≤85° C. (at a film thickness of about 2 mil), an area of hot tack window (AHTW) of ≥220 Newtons.Math.C° (at a film thickness of about 2 mil), an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of ≥600 cm.sup.3 per 100 inch.sup.2 per day (at a film thickness of about 1 mil), a dart impact strength of ≥400 g/mil, and a machine direction (MD) tear strength of ≥400 g/mil.

POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION AND FILM HAVING OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES

A polyethylene composition including a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 200,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, and a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 200,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene.

HETEROPHASIC PROPYLENE COPOLYMERS, METHODS, FILMS, AND ARTICLES THEREOF

Heterophasic propylene copolymer compositions may include a polymer matrix of a random propylene copolymer and an elastomeric copolymer dispersed in the polymer matrix in an amount ranging from about 10 to 35 wt. %, relative to the weight of the composition. The random propylene copolymer may include one or more comonomers in an amount ranging from about 0.5 to 8.0 wt. % of the random propylene copolymer. The elastomeric copolymer may include propylene and one or more comonomers, where the one or more comonomers are present in an amount ranging from about 15 to 60 wt. % of the elastomeric copolymer. Films may be formed from heterophasic propylene copolymer compositions. Methods of preparing heterophasic propylene copolymer compositions may include performing a multistage polymerization.

In some embodiments disclosed herein are polyethylene composition including a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of less than 75,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of less than 75,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, and a fourth polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 100,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of >2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene. The polyethylene composition may have a soluble fraction in a CEF analysis of at least 7.5 weight percent. Film made from the polyethylene composition may have a machine direction 1% secant modulus of 200 MPa (at a film thickness of about 1 mil) and an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of ≥550 cm.sup.3 per 100 inch per day (at a film thickness of about 1 mil). Film made from the polyethylene composition retains much of its dart impact performance on downgauging from a thickness of 1 mil to a thickness of 0.75 mil.

A polyethylene composition including a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of less than 75,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, and a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 100,000 to 300,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of >2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene. The polyethylene composition has a soluble fraction in a CEF analysis of at least 15 weight percent. A film made from the polyethylene composition may have a machine direction 1% secant modulus of ≥200 MPa (at a film thickness of about 1 mil) and an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of ≥700 cm.sup.3 per 100 inch.sup.2 per day (at a film thickness of about 1 mil). A film made from the polyethylene composition retains much of its dart impact performance on downgauging from a thickness of 1 mil to a thickness of 0.75 mil.

RANDOM PROPYLENE POLYMER COMPOSITION AND USE IN EXTRUSION BLOW MOULDING

The present invention is directed to a propylene polymer composition comprising at least one propylene copolymer (C-PP), and an α-nucleating agent (NU), wherein the propylene copolymer (C-PP) comprises two propylene copolymer fractions (PP1) and (PP2), wherein propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is contained in the propylene copolymer (C-PP) in an amount of 30 to 70 wt. % and the propylene copolymer fraction (PP2) is contained in the propylene copolymer (C-PP) in an amount of 70 to 30 wt. %, the comonomer content of propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 wt.-% and the comonomer content of the propylene copolymer fraction (PP1) is lower compared to the comonomer content of the propylene copolymer fraction (PP2), and the propylene polymer composition has (a) a melt flow rate MFR.sub.2 (230° C.) measured according to according to ISO 1133 of 1 to 5 g/10 min., and (b) a comonomer content of 4.0 to 8.0 wt. %, the comonomer(s) being ethylene and/or at least one C.sub.4 to C.sub.12 α-olefin. The above propylene polymer composition has improved impact and optical properties. The invention further provides a method of producing the above propylene polymer composition and an extrusion blow molded article comprising the above propylene polymer composition.

Bimodal polyethylene

Provided are various bimodal polyethylene, including but not limited to a bimodal polyethylene for a pipe having a density of from 0.9340 to 0.9470 gram/cubic centimeters (g/ccm), a melt index (12) of from 0.1 to 0.7 gram/10 minute, a melt flow ratio (121/12) of from 20 to 90. The bimodal polyethylene includes a high molecular weight polyethylene component and a low molecular weight polyethylene component which are a reaction product of a polymerization process performed in a single reactor and that employs a bimodal polymerization catalyst system. The bimodal polymerization catalyst system includes a bimodal catalyst system of bis(2-pentamethylphenylamido)ethyl)amine Zirconium dibenzyl and either (tetramethylcyclopentadienyl)(n-propylcyclopentadienyl)Zirconium dichloride or (tetramethylcyclopentadienyl)(n-propylcyclopentadienyl)zirconium dimethyl in a 3.0:1 molar ratio; and a trim catalyst of (tetramethylcyclopentadienyl)(n-propylcyclopentadienyl)Zirconium dichloridedimethyl in heptane added to adjust melt.
