The additive composition contains: (A) cellulose nanofibers; and (B) an alcohol compound having 4 to 60 carbon atoms (excluding a phenolic compound), and the content of the (B) alcohol compound having 4 to 60 carbon atoms is 0.01 to 100 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the (A) cellulose nanofibers.

A process for producing a polypropylene composition using a compounding extruder includes a) a melting section having a first elongated cylindrical tube with a first inlet port to receive a propylene-based polymer and additives containing an elastomer of ethylene and α-olefin comonomer having 4 to 8 carbon atoms and a first outlet port to discharge a first melt composition containing a melt of the propylene-based polymer and the additives and a first screw arranged in the first elongated cylindrical tube, convey the propylene-based polymer and the additives to the first outlet port, and a mixing section including a second elongated cylindrical tube having a second inlet port to receive the first melt composition, and a second outlet port to discharge a second melt composition containing the first melt composition and the optional further component and a second screw arranged in the second elongated cylindrical tube to convey the first melt composition to the second outlet, wherein the first screw and the second screw areoperable at different screw speeds. The process includes: A) feeding the propylene-based polymer and the additives to the first inlet and discharging the first melt composition from the first outlet, wherein the first screw is operated at a first screw speed and B) feeding the first melt composition from the first outlet to the second inlet, and discharging the second melt composition from the second outlet, wherein the second screw is operated at a second screw speed smaller than the first screw speed.

A process of heat shrinking an article is provided. The process includes shaping a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) into an article, the TPV having: a partially vulcanized rubber dispersed in a continuous thermoplastic phase, wherein more than 5 wt % of the rubber is extractable in boiling xylene, and wherein the thermoplastic phase comprises a thermoplastic resin having a Tm>110° C. and a propylene-based elastomer (PBE) having a Tm<110° C.; and heating the article to a temperature between about 100° C. and 250° C. to shrink the article.

A flame retardant composition containing a piperazine phosphate, a melamine phosphate, and an oil having a siloxane bond and a specific gravity of 0.930 to less than 0.970 at 25° C. The oil is present in an amount of 0.01 to 5 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the sum of the piperazine phosphate and the melamine phosphate. The flame retardant composition preferably further contains 0.01 to 5 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the sum of the piperazine phosphate and the melamine phosphate, of a methylhydrogen silicone oil having hydrogen as part of the side chains of polysiloxane and a specific gravity of 0.970 to less than 1.01 at 25° C.

Methods for forming a moisture-crosslinkable polymer composition include forming a copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane at a polymerization temperature of greater than or equal to 180° C. to less than or equal to 400° C. at a pressure from 5,000 psi to 50,000 psi; and adding a silanol condensation catalyst to the copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane.
