High stiffness rubber composition
The rubber composition comprises at least one resin based: (A1) on at least one aromatic compound comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two functional groups, one of these functional groups being a hydroxymethyl functional group and the other being an aldehyde functional group or a hydroxymethyl functional group; and (A2) on at least one phenolic compound chosen from (A21) at least one aromatic polyphenol comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two hydroxyl functional groups in the meta position with respect to one another, the two positions ortho to at least one of the hydroxyl functional groups being unsubstituted; and/or (A22) at least one aromatic monophenol comprising at least one six-membered aromatic ring bearing a single hydroxyl functional group, the two positions ortho to the hydroxyl functional group being unsubstituted or at least one position ortho to and the position para to the hydroxyl functional group being unsubstituted; and their mixtures.
Resin composition, adhesive, sealing material, dam agent, semiconductor device and image sensor module
Provided is a resin composition, which is fast curable at low temperature, has high adhesive strength (especially, high peel strength) after curing, and can suppress a decrease in adhesive strength (especially, in peel strength) after a moisture resistance test of the resin composition after curing, and further has excellent pot life. Provided is the resin composition including: (A) an epoxy resin; (B) a thiol compound represented by C(CH.sub.2OR.sup.1)(CH.sub.2OR.sup.2)(CH.sub.2OR.sup.3)(CH.sub.2OR.sup.4) (wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each independently hydrogen or C.sub.nH.sub.2nSH (wherein n is 2 to 6), at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is C.sub.nH.sub.2nSH (wherein n is 2 to 6)); (b) a polyfunctional thiol compound other than the (B); and (C) a latent curing accelerator.
Rubber composition for anti-vibration rubber
A rubber composition for anti-vibration rubber comprising, based on 100 parts by weight of ethylene-propylene-diene-based copolymer rubber (EPDM): (A) 32 to 60 parts by weight of carbon black A having an average particle diameter of 60 to 100 nm, an iodine absorption amount of 14 to 23 g/kg, and a DBP oil absorption amount of 100 ml/100 g or more; (B) 10 to 30 parts by weight of carbon black B having an average particle diameter of 40 to 50 nm, an iodine absorption amount of 35 to 49 g/kg, and a DBP oil absorption amount of 100 to 160 ml/100 g; (C) 2 to 10 parts by weight of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer; and (D) 0 to 16 parts by weight of silica. The rubber composition for anti-vibration rubber that has low dynamic magnification (small increase in elastic modulus associated with an increase in rubber deformation rate), excellent durability (bearing force against breakage due to repeated deformation of rubber), excellent heat resistance, etc., and that can be effectively used as a vulcanization molding material for a center bearing support, etc.
Resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials and fiber-reinforced composite material using same
Provided is a resin composition that exhibits satisfactory impregnability into reinforcing fibers, while having rapid curability, and that is suitable for fiber-reinforced composite materials producing molded articles having high heat resistance. A two-pack resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials is configured of a base material including an epoxy resin (A) and a (meth)acrylate compound (B) having three or more (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule, and a curing agent including an amine compound (C) represented by the following general formula (1), a mass ratio of the base material to the curing agent being within the range of from 85:15 to 65:35, Wherein the epoxy resin (A) includes 75% by mass to 100% by mass of a bisphenol A epoxy resin; the base material has a viscosity of 10,000 mPa.Math.s or less; and the curing agent has a viscosity of 800 mPa.Math.s or less. X—(CH.sub.2NH.sub.2).sub.n (1) (In the formula, X represents an n-valent organic group having 1 to 16 carbon atom; and n represents 2 or 3).
Tyre for bicycle wheels
The present invention refers to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of having high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies, simultaneously ensuring optimal handling performances. In particular the present invention regards a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising: a carcass structure; and—a tread band arranged in radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure; wherein said tread band is made by means of vulcanisation of a cross-linkable elastomeric composition comprising a reinforcement system constituted by modified silicate fibres of nanometric size and fibrillated polymer fibres of micrometric size.
Bioelectrode
A bioelectrode includes a conductive rubber electrode and a silver coating layer provided on the conductive rubber electrode and containing a silicone rubber and silver particles. The silver coating layer contains a modified silicone and contains ions for ion conduction among the silver particles.
Quantum dot material and method of curing
Print materials described herein include a first polymerization initiator comprising an initiator material having a thermal decomposition rate and a peak photo-initiated decomposition rate, wherein the thermal dissociation rate is higher than the peak photo-initiated decomposition rate; a vinylic monomer; a polyfunctional monomer; scattering particles; and quantum dots. Methods of making a quantum dot material using such print materials, and of incorporating into light emitting devices, are also described.
Materials comprising textile debris and latex based binder
A composite material having physical characteristics equivalent to particle board materials bonded with resin-based adhesives that contain formaldehyde-urea is formed of reclaimed textile debris comprising fabric scraps and a latex based binder. The binder includes natural rubber latex, sulfur, an anti-oxidant agent and pH adjustment substances. The binder may also include selected amounts of zinc oxide, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate and a stabilizer. Production of the composite material includes mixing the constituents and vulcanization through the application of heat and compression. Cold compression is subsequently applied.
Graphene as additive in truck tire tread applications
The introduction of graphene as an additive in truck tire treads is disclosed. The product shows increased electrical resistance in tire treads, with no tradeoffs in other characteristics.
Elastomeric Conductive Composite Interconnect
A moldable interconnect device for providing an electrical connection between two or more opposing arrays of contacts for establishing an electrical circuit. The moldable interconnect device having an insulting substrate and an array of conductive elements held in the insulating substrate, the conductive elements are made of an elastomeric conductive composite. The composite having a polymeric matrix comprising a crosslinked polymer. The polymer having a curing agent for catalyzing crosslinking of the polymer matrix and conductive metal particles and non-conductive compressible rubber particles dispersed with the polymer matrix. The non-conductive compressible rubber particles having a greater compressibility than the elastomeric conductive composite that is the same as the elastomeric conductive composite but free of non-conductive compressible rubber particles.
